  1. I'm new to the editor, and have been making dungeons for practice before attempting a scenario with a plot. I have two dungeons that I need feedback on. If anyone is willing to play and give constructive criticism(explain why they're bad) then post your e-mail adress. I would recommend that your party at least be level ten(I had fun with slimes). There is one bug. You have to enter one of the dungeons from the back, meaning you walk through the little cave opening and you have to walk through again. The big pillar in the middle of nowhere was an accident and I don't know how to get rid of it. There is a lot of treasure in the dungeons.
  2. oscarcarserud, that sounds really great, but this isn't the right thread for it.
  3. No. You made yourself as clear as clean pavement.
  4. My sister found out about Avernum on a MacAddict CD that my other sister gets in the mail.
  5. This topic has shown me how lucky I am. My dad and sisters were playing Avernum(the first Spiderweb Software game we got) before I was. Actually, they said I was too young when they first got it, but I started playing it anyway and they couldn't stop me.
  6. I'm not a senerio designer, I'm a writer, but I have a lot to name as well. For some of my characters I look at names of gods and goddesses and what they represent. I also subconciously associate tempers with names. For example, my sister has a cat named Mica who runs around the house looking out windows, then jumps up on your lap to snuggle. Now I associate the name Mica with a very playful and sweet character. I'm currently using this name for a character who's teasing his sort-of friend(this may sound normal, but when you consider that they are among four kids who were recruited by giant cats for a war against the government, it gets pretty weird ).
  7. I prefered Celts because I love having people who are really good at magic and on good terms with the Sidhe.
  8. I prefer playing with Celts, because I hate how few spells the Romans know.
  9. Keep going to bed until you're sober. I don't know if that will work, but it's worth a shot.
  10. I haven't played to that point, but I'd guess that if a message says you can't open the door, then you can't and you have to find another way. Though it might be the door you can never get through in the game.
  11. Quote: If you don't already know, I'm 14, so I'm pretty much still under the control of my parents. So, my Mom says I can play Exile as long as I stay away from all magic, demons, or (for no logical reason to my knowledge) goblins. You have my deepest sympathy. My only restriction is to stay away from scenarios rated 'R' and 'Adult'. EDIT: Was your mom joking? I mean, if she tells you to stay away from magic, demons, and goblins, she's pretty much telling you to stay away from the computer game.
  12. Now I have a reason to make scenarios! Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for any bugs.
  13. Um...I think the next form of a drakon is a cyrodrakon. But I could be mistaken. It's been awhile.
  14. I don't wait to empty out towns. It's the first thing I do!
  15. That's probably because you need her to tell you to explore and she dies at the hands of the Barzhites because there is no point in having her tell you what to do anymore.
  16. I always name my creations after my friends. Of course, after that, I could never absorb them. Well, actually, I couldn't anyway because I adopt my creations so I have more essence for Battle Magic.
  17. If there is internet play in the game than there's a chance that it would cost more for the time and energy used to set it up. The other thing that might happen(unlikely) is it's not part of the game and that you pay per hour or something. That would be like The Sims, and the GF series is definitly not The Sims.
  18. Quote: i would like to see inns being more useful, like a universal inn system used not for just sleeping but storage, changing clothes (not just into townspersons clothes but different robes and styles) In GF2 I moved all my stuff from Drypeak to the inn in Medab for a better view
  19. I think that if somehow your character gets modified(the Awakened, GF2) you should automatically get a new ability you can train in. I mean, who has the kind of money to buy the spells from the guy who was obsessed with power? The skills could have a starting cost of ten skill points and the cost go up five skill points per level instead of one.
  20. Well, first I joined the Awakened. Then I decided I wanted to to join the Barzites so I could get really powerful, so I left the Awakened and saved. that was my downfall. The Barzites wouldn't take me because I hadn't said enough with the right viewtype and I had already spoken to everybody.
  21. I joined the Awakened. Actually, when you think about this game, it's a lot like the Civil War.
