No. Jeff just used the Geneforge engine so it was easier for everything to be the same / similar. The shaper comment was ( I assume) meant to be a joke as you have to use shaper graphics for your character.

Would it be that hard for jeff to just put the entire game up for download and put a register by code option? Eg. Still have the demo up for download, and if people download it and like it then they download the other one and pay for the key.

Yea, it really does reach out to geneforge fans, but it doesn't seem to appeal to the Avernum fans nearly as much.

Yea, my favourite main character graphic wasn't there. I refused to even start playing until I'd transfered the main image of him from BoA to A4. Too bad I can't change the actual character to the way it should be without heaps of effort.

23 minutes...Something I would kill to have (or rather, would kill to get the $20 extra to pay for better internet). I'm still on crappy dial-up and even worse I'm out in the country so my download speed is lower than those closer to town. I get about 3-4kbs.

Shouldn't this be in the Avernum 4 section?

Perhaps you should also try updating your graphics card drivers and maybe that will help. That monitor (unless it is really, really old) should be able to display more than that.

A2 by far. Its the only one I beat more than once. At last count I think I've beaten it 4 times.

Another thing I hope for is that N2 will have a code to register it. Otherwise the shipping will be the thing that will be likely to stop people from outside the US from purchasing it.

It's about time something new was done with Nethergate. It is some of his best work and yet it is barely ever talked about. Like someone said earlier, hopefully if enough people buy it then it will encourage Jeff to make Nethergate 2. I plan to purchase this just to encourage it.

Hopefully the A4 release date isnt near the Oblivion release date as unfortunitly A4 would be guarnteed a loss of a sale because I have barely any money.
