We are doing the v1.0.1 updates everywhere now. Because there are so many platforms, all with different interfaces and requirements and delays to take the build live, sending out a patch is a 2 day process now.
Thank you for the update! I appreciate the screen scaling down, my eyes needed it. :😀

I won't be able to check until I get home later, but the Kickstarter/bought straight from SW people could probably go to the link in their original email and see if it's there/been updated.
That was my idea as well but I took a look and it's still version 1.0.

To put it succinctly, the game was clearly designed for tablets and phones,
Which is why it's available only on computers right now...

So by the end of the day/tomorrow I'd imagine that it will be available everywhere.
What about the people who didn't buy the game on Steam or GOG?

The game responds really well to your windows scaling setting. You can do what I do, and set Microsoft Windows scaling to 150 percent, then when you launch the game it will increase the size of the UI etc. as if you had a lower resolution monitor.
Update 1.01 will allow scaling the game UI to whatever resolution we choose. Quite frankly changing Windows resolution or scaling is just a clumsy way of fixing things.

" You got a fair number of lessons regarding the strange fauna of the surface world, but you never heard of anything like this. ..." I'm pretty sure this is a case of authorial muscle memory from decades of writing for the Avernum setting. ...
It could be. I was playing yesterday and I remember feeling like I was back to Avernum... I several times forced myself to think that this was the surface world not some underground cave.

In Tainly mines, after clearing the place, if you leave and come back into it, there are skeletons and slimes that have respawned. Attacking them result in an error message "You cannot attack friendly townfolk."
Screen shot (I didn't manage catching the message). Newly bought full version 1.0.

This is the single change that makes people the most angry. You get experience with victories. Completing quests, defeating dungeons, these are what give experience.
Sneaking into a dungeon, killing two wolves, and running out doesn't reward you.
My favourite change so far. I like this idea; it makes the game more interesting in my opinion.
I miss the ability to set camp in the wilderness like in Avernum though...
I don't have an account at Google's (and I don't want to have one), so I'm unable to comment under Jeff's blogs. I don't like the feeling.

So I tried to quit the game after saving and in common Spidweb mode it asked me if I wanted to save. So I clicked no, as you do and it put me in the save game slots. I could not quit or do anything as the game (Mac Demo) would not let me do anything until I had 'finished my task'. I had to use Activity Monitor to Force Quit the game.
Not impressed. Oh and the Demo has no icon.
Mac 10.12.2
This just happened to me as well, on Windows 7 SP1. Demo version. I had to use Ctrl+Alt+Del and kill the process in the Task Manager.

So in the game I do not have full control of resources and how and when the use them. Treating me like a simpleton.
You'll have full control later. Just keep playing.
Maybe you should take a break? Right now you only see what you do not like.

I must like this game since I played it yesterday from around 6 pm to 3am this morning...
I haven't played enough to give a sound advice about it though.
Congratulations and great many thanks @Spidweb!

Yes. I modded after about an hour into the game. Nothing heavy yet but have modded quite a bit. Not making a Bovine Mod per se but have done some things. The methods are similar to previous games. Kudos to Jeff for that capability!! ❤️❤️❤️
How did you do that? Where did you get the editor?
-
You must choose a smaller resolution at start; the screen resolution will scale down automatically.
-
You can modify the short cuts in the options of the game and set Ctrl+S for Save/Quit Window. Save/Quit Window opens the "Save your game" dialogue box.

I'm going to rework Windows resolution switch for the next update, out early next week. Because there is such a huge variety of Windows monitors now, I'm going to turn on resolution switching.
I was about to write to support about that. Thank you for us!
Most of the fonts are all right as far as I'm concerned, except for the dialogues with the npcs; this font is a little too small for my eyes.

1. QW Instructions say, if you want the game to fill the screen, “ run the game, select Settings on the Title Screen, and set Game Area Size to Whole Window.” Only size options are Small, Medium, Large. (Windows 10, latest build)
This is probably just a matter of description; to have the game using the whole screen, just select "large".
As for me, I have a resolution problem with the game. It seems that selecting a resolution at start is useless if you want to play the game full screen. My problem is that the dialogue windows (the real dialogue windows, when the player talks to an npc) font is too small and makes it uncomfortable for my eyes to play the game.
I wouldn't really mind if we could choose the size of the font: small, average, large, but I haven't seen any setting about that. Any idea how I could fix that without having to modify my screen resolution? Or could a fix be released in the future? Thank you.

Thanks for this game! It looks very promising. I'm playing the demo right now and I was wondering: when do I know that the demo is finished?

You scared them off! The game has disappeared from GOG!
The link I had: https://www.gog.com/game/queens_wish_the_conqueror
Edit: it seems to be just a link problem. I managed adding it to my cart my accessing it here: https://www.gog.com/
And the link is back now.

You will probably have seen this by now, but Queen's Wish has now been released on all platforms, and in all regions! It's even being sold at a slight discount on Steam!
Jeff is a good and trustworthy developer. As a general rule, I would trust what he says over dates released on other distribution sites. If he says that something will happen on a certain date, it will!
I'm sure Jeff is an honest person and all that but if Steam decides that his game will be released at a date of their liking, there's little he could do.
Anyway, yes, the game is now available in my region! I never buy the hint books, generally; I'm just wondering, are they really useful? And what are the bonuses?
Edit: why is it not available on GOG at the time I write this?
And where is the demo?I found the demo: http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/queenswish/index.html Click on your platform at the bottom of the page.

It was indeed! I went back to Tainly mines and the skeletons and slimes were gone.
Anyway, I'm starting over now that I know a little more about how the game works.
