You need to see Firefox (entertainer) that wanders the cities near the giants and pay her to have the place appear. I think you need to talk to some people before that, but I could be wrong.

The way I have it, you have to talk to the inn keeper in Lorelei before speaking to Foxfire. Think that's her name (not a browser).

Knowledge Brew is the most powerful alchemical concoction, and one of the few ways to gain skill points without gaining levels. You find out how to get it in the towns around Lorelei. Talk to Winterhouse in Lorelei. He tells you to talk to Randall, who tells you to talk to Lyle (all in Lorelei). Lyle suggests that you find Foxfire. She moves from Bengaro to Poulsbo to Malloc and back until those towns get destroyed, at which point she moves to Dorngas. When you find her, she charges 500 gold for directions to the Monastery of Madness.

You must first go to Lorelei and speak with Winterhouse, the

innkeeper of the Caring Cubbyhole and ask him about rumors he's heard. He'll

direct you to Randall, who will pass you off to Lyle, who will tell you about

Foxfire. Foxfire is a wandering minstrel who will move between Bengaro and

Malloc depending on the day. In Bengaro she'll be outside, and in Malloc she

will be waiting at the inn. You'll have to pay her 500 coins for the key to

the Monastery of Madness, not to mention its location. With both in hand, go

to Storm Port in Karnold province.

 

Take the boat there to Gebra, then leave town and go to the nearby dock. On

the new island, go south to another dock, then walk southeast. On the south-

easternmost point of the island is the Monastery of Madness. Head in.

 

prepare for long and dull fight.
