Going rogue continued

Remove effects can make rogue back to your control, charmed or badly hit.

I made a thad,

when a golem hit the xxxx out of it,

he went rogue,

and the words on the screen confirmed it.

I successfully cured him with romove effects,

and he came back his conscious.

Being charmed is just a state of going rogue.

The same icon,

same effects.

Note that mostly Battle Creations go rogue. The Magic Creations I've found hardly ever go rogue.

Charmed creations can become liberated over time even if Remove Effects is not used. If you keep moving away from them they will eventually stop attacking you. A creation that has actually gone rogue cannot be tamed by its own will.

Charming is not going rogue; it is being charmed. They may be similar in appearance, but they are not the same, so what Drakey said was accurate.

I apologize for my carelessness.

Sometimes, the topics "go rogue", talking about something completely off the point.

This should be tolerated.

That is the liberty of speech.

Especially when we are discussing about ethics.

Since ethics is an important part of all spider websoftware games.

To elaborate on that point: if you wanted to discuss the nature of stereotypes as they appear in GF3, that could considered on-topic for the board. If you wanted to discuss stereotypes because you were inspired by their treatment in Spiderweb games, that goes in General. If you wanted to discuss stereotypes because you want to discuss stereotypes, you're a dirty, dirty spammer, but you probably can do that on General anyway.

Game boards are for discussion of the games.

Now that we've gotten that cleared up, uh, I can't think of anything to say about going rogue except that I can't recall any of my creations actually doing it except maybe once in GF2.

As long as the thread retains civility and remains at least tangentially on the subject of Geneforge 3, discussion is fine. But Kelandon used his judgement and locked the topic. If, after the topic was locked, you still want to discuss some off-topic thing, begin a topic in the General forum, not the Geneforge 3 forum. You could even link to the thread where the the discussion started.

Also, I don't think I gave any 'ultimately right answer' - I pointed out that being charmed and going rogue are two separate things.
