Tenderfoot Thahd InfiniteArcanum
i have played A4, A5, A6 and A:EFTP. however, in A2:CS is the first time i come across these 2 spells which i find extremely interesting and fun to use. why aren't they include in all other Avernum games ? Just curious
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
They're actually throwbacks to the original Avernums 2 and 3 (not sure if they were in Exile). They were dropped starting from A4. I was soooooo hoping they'd be brought back for the remakes. Yay!
Hatchling Cockatrice Archaeolagent
They were absolutely in Exile 2 and 3. Hopefully if A4-6 ever get remade, they'll stick around too.
Ineffable Wingbolt Mechalibur
While we're discussing the spells, anyone got any good suggestions on what to put in your Soulstone?
Tenderfoot Thahd Hexcel
I'll add a question of my own as well! With multiple mages, do you need each to capture their own souls to use, or can a single character use Capture Soul for everyone else to use Simulacrum as well? Garrulous Glaahk K.I.L.E.R
Demons! Haakai! In Exile 2/3 I reached a point where I was strong enough to capture (through trial and error as well) powerful demons, and then sit back and watch them obliterate an entire army. Is this still possible?
Unflappable Drayk ĐªгŦĦ Єяŋϊε
have you ever summoned a demon who summoned a shade who summoned a nephil shaman who summoned a giant rat until the whole screen filled up and slowed gamed play down to a crawl or even crashed the game? Back in Blades of Avernum, vampires could summon other vampires. That was always fun.
Hatchling Cockatrice Archaeolagent
And I think Demons could cast Daemon back in E2, couldn't they?
Garrulous Glaahk Davies
I'm in the victory lap section of the game, and since I don't use summons I've never used Capture Soul much. So I'm curious -- how many souls do I have to capture to fill the thing up? Didn't it used to be four? I'm already past that, so it's clearly more than that now ... Just gonna answer this for A2: Crystal Souls remake: The answer seems to be that any party member's Capture Soul works for the whole party - I am now the proud bearer of 2 slots filled by vampire souls from my (hasty) experimentation
