Unflappable Drayk Edgwyn
Lock picks do not replenish, but as long as you have a reasonable amount of lock pick skill there are enough of them. You can buy them in Goldcrag at Goldcrag fine provisions (tanner) and from Mamara. In Strategy Central there is a list of all of the lock pick locations. Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
get your lockpicking skill to max as soon as possible (pref. before you start opening any locked chests etc).
Articulate Vlish iloverushandledzepp
can I return to visited places later? oh I saw the sorcerer has a skill with lock pick or do I need the thief guys help?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You need only one character with the locksmith (shadowwalker) or unlock charm skill (sorceress). The sooner it gets to 4 then the less lockpicks you will need to buy. You can almost always go back to a place later with other Hands until you start the endgame mission. It helps if it is your character and not another Hand that has the skill since there are times you are without them and need to pick locks. Lockpicks can be on any character in the active party. Articulate Vlish iloverushandledzepp
I did not pick scorceror or the shadow walker but the warrior as my main character
Articulate Vlish iloverushandledzepp
do I take the portal to get back to a previous place? or can I travel
Unflappable Drayk Edgwyn
Once you have access to a portal in Avadon, you can use it at any time to return to an area.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
To get back to Avadon from Goldcrag, click on the pylon in the southwest area of the zone - it's where you first arrived. When you're in Avadon, you can use the portals to return to regions you've already visited. To travel to different zones within a region, just walk off the edge of the map. You can then select which zone you want, out of those available. Some zones are opened via dialogue with NPCs, others by physically crossing the adjacent zone. Any zone you visit will remain available until near the end of the game.
