Fledgling Fyora RealDarko
Just wondering If any of your games have playable horses, so one character can get, steal or buy a horse to ride, travel faster with it, and fight from the horse. Think it will be a great experience.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Avernum (and Exile!) 3 (and several BoA scenarios) allow the player to buy some horses, and they do indeed provide faster travel. The only downside is that horse-back combat is not possible.
Unflappable Drayk adc.
Avernum 3. Unfortunately, you still need to buy those, and speed, doesn't differ. But if you feel you have tormented the feet of your adventurers, feel free to buy a horse... ----------- Welcome to Spiderweb Software. Please leave any remaining sanity lost at the door after getting a horse. You are welcome to take it back, but we recommend not to... ----------- -A

Actually, riding horses does increase the speed of travel.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
and those horses are well trained, they don't vanish even if you leave them outside town when you go inside town and possible teleport elsewhere.
Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
I remember I lost my first set of horses in E3 to the Click to reveal.. (game spoilers) cockroach factory. I took them inside, just as far as it would let me, then fought through the whole factory, set off the quickfire egg, exited the only way it would let me, and poof. Factory was gone along with my horses.

Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
BoA scenarios can also include horses. I'm not sure about BoE.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
I weep that nobody reads the second post in threads anymore. Edit: It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure 'At the Gallows' had horses, so I assume other third-party BoE scenarios did too.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
I did read the second post - sort of. Just not all of it, apparently. I'll shut up now.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
Now I feel like I've been more of a jerk than I'm usually okay with. Sorry!
Understated Ur-Drakon The Almighty Doer of Stuff
Horses slow down travel in real-time due to the clip clop sounds being longer than the footsteps, but they speed up travel in game-time. At least in Exile 3/BoE. I don't know about Avernum 3/BoA. It's been a while.
