Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
my 1st fighter has -40% to hit chance (-50% w/o any weapons or equipment which increaes thc) due all those armors etc he wears and his miss rate even against Altered Giants/Constructs and other tough monsters is quite low (maybe 10 attacks from 100) so apparently battle skills enuf (25% total if blademaster increases thc too) that he isn't worthless fighter. 2nd fighter has 35% thc penalty (and battle skills give 23% to thc) and he has around same miss rate than 1st fighter. no idea how spells to hit chance is calced (especially area spells) since their miss rate is around same as fighters and both casters have -5% thc and with battle skills its no negative or positive thc. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Your level and primary attack stat (Strength for melee fighters, Dexterity for archers, Intelligence for spellcasters) are both major factors in your hit rate. Skills and traits also play a role. So if any of those things are different between characters, that could produce the results you're seeing. Articulate Vlish Kestral
What does character level contribute to your hit chance? I think the primary stat is 5% per level, so it basically dwarfs the contribution of your skills at 1-2% per level.

I'm not sure exactly how much it contributes, but it seems to have more of an effect than can be accounted for purely by stat gains. I'd guess 5% per experience level. I haven't tested it rigorously, though, so I might possibly be wrong.
Kyshakk Koan RaustBlackDragon
Anybody know how enemy evasion chance is calculated?
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
my fighters have pretty much same build (only differences are some traits (health on 1 and nimble fingers on 2nd) and skills (not battle skills) and same applies to mages (1st hís mage oriented and 2nd priest oriented with only few lvl difference on mage/priest skill and traits (some difference on traits cause 1 is mage and 1 is priest), fighters have 1 point in sure hand trait and deadeye trait (and still they are worse archers than casters who are bad).
