Chittering Clawbug kensuguro Posted August 24, 2012 Share Posted August 24, 2012 When you're on a boat, it seems to me that the pathfindng becomes very dumb, much less effective than when you're on foot. Is this a known issue? The boat seems to try to go straight to where you clicked, and gets stuck on any protrusions in the path. Not a problem, but seemed strange because the a star (or whatever pathfiding) for regular walking works fine. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have found it to be a bit annoying in the past, but by now, I have gotten used to jus doing short, straight line jaunts with the boat. ... I get to see the scenery better that way anyway. The pathfinding algorithms in general are cobbled together out of mostly spit and duct tape, and the boat ones are even worse.
