For example, is it an effective boost to cave lore, allowing for finding things easier? Does it boost the light radius? Click to reveal.. I cleared the undead spiral today and was a bit surprised when it gets "darker" as you near the center that lighting a lantern didn't increase the light radius. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted April 22, 2012 Share Posted April 22, 2012 Under normal circumstances light sources increase the radius around your party that you can easily see things and with Jeff's habit of low contrast between items and their surroundings it is helpful.
