The ending depends upon whether you have gotten Melanchion's reward for doing 2 of his quest and whether you want to skip getting anymore rewards from below. Although I haven't tried it myself I remember reading a post in another tread here that says it's a good opporuntiy because you don't have to deal with his worshippers at the same time. Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 Lilith suggested people do this, once they had done enough other Melanchion missions to get the portal fixed, so I guess she's tried it without any ill effects. But actually I don't remember getting bothered by too many guards when I fought Melanchion in his lair. It was the dragon himself that was the problem; even with a god character, I needed to chug down quite a few Invulnerability potions.
