Fledgling Fyora Shadohs
So, I read on some of the threads here that an option to turn the AI on, after you invest past 2 intelligence, will appear... somewhere. The problem is, I cannot find this option, but I want to turn the AI on so that I can just let my creations go wild and do their thing without having me to tell them what to do Can anyone post a screen shot of where this option appears, or give me some kind of clarification? Thanks ^^
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
There was an option in the old games, but the newer ones don't have it. Simply increasing the creatures intelligence by 2 will give let you control it in combat. (Also, I assume you mean "Turn the AI off" since turning it on would mean it acts on its own during combat?) Fledgling Fyora Shadohs
Firstly, thank you for the quick reply ^^ And no, I'm pretty sure turning the AI on, means to give the creature control of itself.. right? Meaning I cannot control it. What I want to do is have a creature with >2 Int, but able to move on its own.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Oh, no no, if you don't want to control the creation, then just don't put anything into Intelligence at all, and the creation will act on its own during combat. Why would you want to do this, may I ask?
Fledgling Fyora Shadohs
Well, I needed to put points in so they can be organized when they need to be, like in the stoneworks (nobody likes their creations Well-done) But sometimes I just want to steamroll through a map and let my creations run wild on their own xD Just feeling lazy I guess

Personally I prefer to have the AI turned off in all the Geneforge games; otherwise, my creations seem to have a penchant for finding the strongest creature in an area, and commit suicide by attacking it. Although I will admit to choosing the wrong target occasionally, it's nowhere nearly as often as the AI.
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Regarding the OP: There is no way to have the AI turned on for a creature with >2 intelligence. Even with the AI turned on, though, you can control the creations when not in combat. The AI only goes into effect after you begin combat mode. Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Really? If so, that's changed from earlier games, when you could definitely set the AI on or off for Int>1 creations. That was true at least through G3. Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
I never used the AI in 1 and 2, and I never played 3. I may be have just not noticed it, someone should check on that.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Dikiyoba spent a couple minutes looking for the feature in G4 and G5 and couldn't find it in either. It was probably removed.
