Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
When I run Geneforge 5 (on windows) I will occasionally experience a very strange event. When I exit a zone, and then select another zone and hit travel, my computer will shut down. The game doesn't crash, but the whole thing just turns off, instantly. What's really bizarre is that when I start it back up again, I don't get the message "Your computer has been improperly shut down, would you like to restart in Safe mode" like I would get if I just pressed the power button. I don't have this problem for any of the other games, and my computer is less than a year old, so it can't be that. I was wondering if any of you had experienced any similar problems, and how you solved them.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
I had this problem for G5 about 4 months ago. Before I got to the point of needing help with it, oddly enough, it stopped after a week or so. I'm afraid my best advise is to wait a bit and see if it stops on its own. My compy did it about twice, and i've noticed that if i wait a moment before clicking the area i want to go to, it doesnt act screwy. Then again, we probably have whole different computers...but this sould help.
Kyshakk Koan La paix
Which version of windows are you using? Some problems on windows are easily solved by playing in compatibility mode, but that might only apply to older games.

Rotghroth Rhapsody Artemis~
Not quite. Windows Vista for a 5 year old computer? My vast computer knowlege says no. Well, if you guys can find the system that's on a Compaq Presario V2000 then you've got it. [dont ask why I know the exact model of my computer. Long story with a shorted-out powercord...]
