  1. And, in a more general sense, are melee and spell hit and crit combined? In some games they are separate. If I equip a bow on a caster, will they receive 10% higher chance to crit with spells? Or if I equip a caster with a 5% hit weapon, will it affect their spell hit? Thanks.
  2. Yeah I didn't expect Fast Recovery to be worth it. I'm not sure, but I think it's 5% of the effect you get from First Aid, which is not huge to begin with. It makes sense that it would only be a drop in the bucket.
  3. Just think about how the health traits compare to Endurance. They're not worth getting early in the game because they will add less health than a point of Endurance. When you hit 100 health, 5% = 5 HP so they're equal. When you get above 200 HP, that 5% becomes more than twice as valuable as a point of Endurance.
  4. What I really like is that, since the luck points are kind of spare points, if I find myself wanting to read a spell book earlier, I can just put one or two extra in AL. Later!
  5. Actually, I decided I'm going to give the Discipline Blade to my first mage, so I can save money on weapons training and only put 6 points into Melee Weapons, and those extra 2 points can go back into luck. And thanks, I'm glad you liked it, and I'm glad you inspired me to make a great party in the first place! Starting it on Torment now .
  6. Mikus, I mostly like your template, but I tweaked it a bit. The biggest change I made was to give both mages 8 Priest Spells, so I dropped the TU and luck on the first mage. I kept the priest with 6 TU, but I took Nimble Fingers on all PCs. To do this: a. for the fighter, I dropped Recovery and Fast Recovery. b. for the mages, I dropped 1 Swordmage and Fast Recovery. If Summoning Focus doesn't apply to Simulacrum, I might drop those traits, another in Swordmage and Recovery, and put 5 in Endurance instead. Endurance is just as valuable a trait as Int, since it frees you to assign more Int with the same health pool if you want.
  7. Question - Does Summoning Focus affect the level of creatures summoned by Simulacrum? Might it be worth it if it does, for the pure mage in a party similar to Mikus's?
  8. Thanks, ok this is helpful. If it were really an extra shot it would be amazing.
  9. Am I reading the Sniper description wrong in-game, or mistaken about the effect I seem to notice? It says nothing about action points, it says "5%/level chance of taking a bonus shot in a combat round." In practice, when it triggers, I notice my shot seems to do more damage (as if I were firing two arrows at once), and I see no refund of action points. I am playing version 2.0.0.2 from GoD. Can someone explain this discrepancy? Thanks.
  10. Thanks, I tested it out in combat and saw that my chance to be hit was 95%, but the wording on the ring makes it sound like it improves it by 50%, just wanted to make sure .
  11. The ring says it reduces your chance to be hit by 50%. Is this a typo? Does it instead increase your chance to be hit, or what? It's found in the second scenario.
  12. No, it doesn't appear while using keys, but I'm playing on a laptop and I find it really awkward to switch between keyboard and mouse for diagonals, plus I still have to be super careful with my clicks or the problem is triggered again. Just posted in tech support.
  13. Hey guys, I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 and Avernum 3 1.0.0.1, even though the installer says it's version 1.0.0.5. Is there a newer version from GoG? The bug is that, when I hold down the mouse button to move, it will go into this mode where I won't stop moving until I walk into an NPC or activate a dialog box. It makes the game basically unplayable for me. Does anyone know the bug, and hopefully a solution? Thanks.
  14. Hey guys, I got the sweet deal from GoG a couple months ago, and have been loving A1 and A2. But A3 has a weird movement bug that makes it basically unplayable for me. I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8, and this is the Windows version that uses Wine so it can work with the latest Mac OSs. Version 1.0.0.1 is what I see under "get info." The bug is that, when I hold down the mouse to move multiple spaces at a time, it toggles to a mode where I'm always moving and can't stop it unless I run to a place that brings up a dialog box. Does anyone know of this bug, and of a possible solution?
  15. This list helped me a lot, thanks. Here are four items I did not find on it, and I'd like to know their location for my Torment playthrough: bushstrider boots shadow crest farsighted band trueshield wrap
