1. No quest from him, nor item, I don't think he drops anything very special when you kill him, which I think is the only thing that can happen there. It's before you have to choose whether you'll side with Odil or Konstantina. After you kill him you meet Silke and she forces you to make a choice (which also either leads to the romance with her, or not -- apparently the girl takes offense if you tell her that she's a traitor and she'll die at your hand.)
2. I think it happened more randomly than that... in the middle of large areas, not near exits.
3. Finish the water, you mean? Yeah, I drank all of it. I think I was hoping for some kind of quest where you get Corruption poisoning and Silke has to tend you while you're laid up in bed. NO. I bought the game and played it straight through ONCE in a week because I'd been waiting two years for it. But now I have to do that other thing where I have a life.
4. I feel like I drank all the Corruption water myself. God, that game goes on forever.
5. You encounter him again just before the final battle with the rebels.
6. Envoy Jaime also has nothing new to say after speaking with the guard for the second time. Seriously, if I didn't have folks to ask, I would just write it off as a blind spot in the scripting. No clue how the quest gets advanced here.
7. Yes, but she has no new info to provide after the battle. She just says she's sorry that you got jumped.
8. No, nothing. There are only four buildings in town where you can have dialogues. One is the Tinkermage shop, another is City Hall. No one else in City Hall but the dead mayor. That leaves the bar and the marketplace. Nothing in either. It isn't the mute armorer. It isn't the girl who wants to be a Hand. It isn't the guard patrolling near the camp where the Kellem Shadowalkers jumped me. So then.
9. I clearly put them over the full tally of their health bar in a single round -- they still register the HP damage, but no kill. Obvs unkillable.
10. Lilith is correct - pursuing the romance from the very start, giving her the satchel, killing Odin - I got the medal after that kiss, in the rebel fortress.
11. So, Miranda's Horrors just can't be destroyed, right?
12. If you search the area you're in thoroughly (and keep the Infernal inside the circle to kill him) the quest will end without having to fight the dragon.
13. is hiding in the Tawon Empire. Good to know! The Raptors suggest that I "ask around" while traveling. Heads rolled to obtain that piece of info, I'm certain. There is no quest marker in any Tawon territory pointing me toward the next stage of the quest, leaving me in the position of clicking on every character with a name until I find the one who's got something to tell me. Any pointers?
14. Um... I think it's funny to say that German people suck at geography. Must be German.
15. Honestly, I got sick of having 85 things in the junk bag in A1. When I want to buy something I Shift-D it.
16. I think my fave video game romance ever is in Jade Empire. It wasn't integral to the plot, but JE created a story in which *everything* that happened, even the romance, somehow seemed to unfold very naturally and logically, so it didn't feel like an afterthought. JE also had one of the all-time memorable YouTube vids:
17. It all really boils down to a matter of regional politics - for instance, the Free Road through the Wyldrylm, which to Avadon is a model of fairness, but hurts the natives, who traditionally charged a toll for outsides to travel it. The more obvious reasons, although they never play directly into the storyline of either game, have to do with the widespread perception of Hands as little more than hired knives who're always looking for a bribe. In A2 they also really lay on the popular outrage with plots like the observer from Hanvar's Council who makes you notice the hugely expensive throne rooms Redbeard builds in outlying forts that'll never be used for anything except to salve his ego. But I'm a casual gamer - some of the longtime Avadon players on here can probably tell you more.
18. In Avadon 3 I want an option where you can kill Redbeard while he's asleep in his chair and muttering about his past.
19. Just out of curiosity, are there any actions you can take before that point that will convince him to not jump out the window and actually side with you?
20. Every once in a while, while traveling, I'll see a word bubble come from one of my characters, but when my eye catches it it's already gone. What are my party saying as they walk, without any text boxes?
