  1. It's probably one of the best pieces of armor in the game if you are interested. It is worth getting, but it is quite tough. You may want to clear out everything in the Eastern Gallery first and make sure your fighters have over 100 HP, otherwise it will be VERY difficult to win.

    Alchemy

Nociduas is pretty much the toughest fight in the game, namely as Thuryl said, because of the difficulty at the time you meet him. Of course, if you wait on the Emerald Chestguard, he's not that bad.

Chevyn being cloistered because he's incompetent works just as well as Starrus being cloistered because he's young. All Jeff had to do was not kill off Houghton (or, hey, it might have been interesting to kill off Houghton anyway and leave the party to deal with Chevyn from that point onwards). Would have been, but come on now, do you think Jeff would ever deviate from his style of a powerful Bob type versus a mentally deficient one?
  4. Really, must have been very unlucky when I tried it several times on that quest.
  5. Probably should report it. Would be nice if the town went back to friendly after she died (well, except for her guards at least).
  6. Mass healing 3 times, really? Wow, different playing strategies I guess. Money is not that short on supply if you want to take time lugging every piece of armor/weapon that your foes drop and selling them. I agree, increasing levels on higher level spells is not that much of a difference. Well, summoning spells might, but that's about all.

  8. I believe it is Shapshooter +3 if memory serves and you get it from the bandit leader southeast of Spire in the Abyss.
  9. It would be nice if the Abyss was actually difficult to travel though, but as it is, it's a pretty easy trek.

  12. All this overreliance on divinely touched seems to make the game too easy. I didn't use any traits on the game I played and everything worked out just fine. All a matter of preference I suppose, but four divinely touched PCs seems a bit cheap.

  14. I thought slimes were immune to mental effects like Daze. At any rate, I put my archer/thief in first and got the slimes attention. My fighter was able to easily slip by them at that point.
  15. Arrrrgh -- You are not following the previous conditions on good membership behavior. If complaints continue about your conduct, we will have no choice but to revoke your membership.
  16. If memory serves, they wanted the zip code you registered at. If you put down your real zip code, this should not be too much of a problem with Mapquest and all.
  17. Anaximander is probably still disrobing on the surface if I had to guess. Chevyn vanished so we could have a more competent Bob personna. Aimee is probably still floating in the now inaccessable northern waters. Also, what is the name of that wizard that was hiding from the Empire up there?
  18. You would think he would have been dead by now, along with just about every other recurring NPC.
  19. The only way you should train in magical efficiency is to buy it from Thompson in Fort Remote.
  20. The armor +20% seems a bit excessive...probably should be armor +2% and then +10% hostile effect resistance.
  21. For most of the game, it is best to distribute about 2 arcane lore points between all of the characters since the trait is cumulative over your party. Near the end of the game, I believe the most you will need is 16-18 total. Hope this helps.
  22. It's not a BAD sword, but as the only weapon with a dungeon devoted to it, one would hope for something amazing. I agree, it's good defensive, I put it on my mage. My warriors already have high resistance to everything but mind effect, so more defensive resistance really would not help them.
  23. I'm about ready for the final fight and my party has luck primarily centered around my two front line fighters. I gave them about 4-5 a piece in addition to the added bonus of luck items such as the Charmed Plate and the Clover Boots. I mainly like it because it increases my mind effect resistance (albeit slowly), which is pretty low on my fighters. I know there are items, but I cannot justify them when confronted with more combat bonus items. One combination that I like is holding on to the quicksilver items (and putrified gauntlets) on my priest and then using the Necklace(?) of Might (strength +4!!) to offset the strength penalty.
