  1. Opon mars, now you're deliberately talking in poetic form.

  3. Get the best of both sides! Be a Loyalist who uses all canisters, gets all alterations and shapes them self. Then, after 5-6 canisters, use the the Shift-D and put in this: sdf 100 4 0. That is the sdf that says you used 0 canisters. Make sure you also use that before you leave the islands via boat (endgame). If you can't stand to cheat at all, then don't use this sdf. Its not really a cheat, or have I ever tested it, but it might work.
  4. Interesting concept for a poem, but check your spelling, and I don't see most poems with question marks in them.
  5. Do you not get such a feeling of satisfaction after you slay Litalia or Rahul?
  6. Argh, I didn't finish looking through Spirit City in G1 (it was one of the only two or three zones I didn't completely go through.) Thats why I don't know much about shaper origins... Now I don't have a save file of G1 anymore...
  7. Quote: Originally written by Alberich: GC, I, by contrast, am a Canister Prohibitionist and think the good old Temperance ballads - http://www.pdmusic.org/winner/sw74tsp.txt - should be rewritten in a canister context. Don't use canisters, dear brother Let thy footsteps follow mine To the schoolbooks and the trainers - Don't adopt the glowing shine. Purchase training at the fortress, Better far is that for thee. Slay creations by the thousand - Get thy skills with clean XP. CHORUS Stay thy hand from them, dear brother, Don't bulk up and tempt the fates Try some target practice, swimming, Self-help books and lifting weights. O, use not those foul canisters Though thy spells will boom and bang; Thoul't slay thy friends (and sisters!) And will never feel a pang. Canisters instill a factor Most unhealthful to thy pride. Honest study builds character -- Leads to less sororicide. That is an excellent ballad. I would not use canisters, provided that: 1. I'm a Loyalist Extremist. 2. There are a lot of good, cheap trainers (e.g. Gretchen and Khyrhk.) 3. I have (Loyalist) access to powerful spells and creations, e.g. ability to shape drayks, cryodrayks, ur-glaahks, and spells such as essence orbs and strong daze. 4. It would be a bonus to be allowed to have alterations or otherwise be shaped. 5. An added bonus if I could use the Geneforge without losing my humanity and going insane. 6. It would also be a bonus to have a good ending .
  8. I think shaper death (not yourself) is the best, as it is the most satisfying for me.
  9. We actually can't give away too many canisters. They should only be a reward for a great achievement, such as killing a leader. Too many canisters would cause addiction and extreme destabilization. After playing through more areas of G3 that I normally avoid, I'm seeing problems with the rebels working together. The factions need to be divided, one for serviles and one for creations. Shapers should also start to partake in canisters and alterations, providing they can make it "safe", which is a great challenge.
  10. I really like canisters. I'm pro canisters, regardless of whatever opinion I need to make. I usually play powergamer type with all canisters, all alterations, and if possible, use the Geneforge.
  11. Alwan will leave you if you repair Dhonal Island's creator. I'm not sure about the opinions (reputation score), however. Upgrade Alwan's attack at Inner Keep from Sciolino, I believe it was about 700 gold, or free if you are helping Lord Rahul and you have leadership. The 2nd time is at Gull Island, in the Breeding Caverns, talk to shaper Jolhna in the SE. He will upgrade Alwan's blade to physical with acid splash. It will cost 4000 coins, or 2000 if you have sufficient leadership. However, in my humble opinion, Greta is stronger than Alwan... But thats just my opinion, and Alwan really shows his usefulness at the Isle of Spears, damaging many monsters with high resistances. Hope this helps.
  12. Ah, ET has convinced me. However, I always love to abuse canisters and I use the Geneforge at every chance (even if it causes my death), so my opinion may be badly biased.

  14. Quote: Originally written by opon mars: Then thak you nocia and do not fail to notice a blade (that in spite of your high parry good canisters) in your wonded back. First of all, my Guardian isn't wonded, or wounded. Even if I did take a blade to the back, I would live, and deliver a total of 4 strikes (2 QA strikes, since I upped by QA by the 2k QA trainer). Even if you would survive that and kill me (I highly doubt you'd act faster than my insanely high level of QA, either) my rogue drakon would finish you.
  15. Yup. You could probably jump to conclusions and say that he is insane just by his poses in the photos.
  16. Interesting. In GF 3, if you start a character and you erase the name, hence a nameless PC, when you start the game, your name becomes "Aleister". I wonder why...
  17. I like cryodrayks, because even though they're much more expensive, and have a higher chance of fleeing/going rogue, they have higher damage, and a lot of accuracy. I suspect that it may have more HP and spell energy as well.
  18. Ah, excellent. That means my agent has a damage output, blessed of 480-600 (3 attacks). Against multiple enemies, essence orbs could do as much as 1500 or more damage in one turn. Of course, I'll probably be more cheap, and do shoot shoot daze, hit and run, or, infinite loop hit and run
  19. Yes, I've personally seen daze at its maximum potential. My agent hasted at 15 AP: shoot shoot daze, shoot shoot daze, repeat. However, using a good amount of skill points to get 1 into mental magic, is it worth it? EDIT: Daze is surprisingly effective for my Guardian. At 3 spell strength, (yay for carnelian gloves) it kept 6 creations dazed for 5 rounds, making them easy targets.
  20. Ah, daze. I don't think I can really cast it, as I will drain all of my Spell Energy in 1 or 2 castings. Also, I don't think it is nearly effective for a Guardian as it is for an Agent. Parry seems activate more frequently than the percentage actually should be. (e.g. elite warriors of Inner Keep have 3 % parry, but its more like 5-7% chance of parrying) However, my Guardian with 8 % parry parried more like 2 % of attacks. It might be just the random rolls, however. Vlish, I just hope I can get enough essence to make a few. Guardians aren't known for having a lot of Essence without major INT investment. And thanks again for the reply EDIT: Spelling.
  21. Ah, this clarifies a lot. Thank you very much.
  22. Hi again, everyone. I'm starting a melee (no missiles), low-mid magic (Only healing craft), some creations (magic probably) Guardian. I'm playing in torment, and I'm striving to achieve 100% game completion, which includes the Monestary. Does anyone have any advice on playing the "challenge" class of Geneforge 3, e.g. which side is better to join? Thanks in advance for all feedback.

  24. Gah, then everything is to some degree resistant to magical attacks, as 203, my highest damage in one orb with bless was against a rotghroth.
