Tarrasuqe, for someone who (at least according to his or her signature) places value in the karma rating, simply repeating a joke that was cute the first time [but tiring the second] is probably not the way to get a fourth star... Actually I couldn't care less about those lousy stars! And now you have one
  2. Shouldn't this be in the G4 section?
  3. Shouldn't this be in the G4 section?
  4. ET, how would rebel shapers become drakon slaves? Any shaper that followed throughout the entire war and survived would have consumed literally hundreds of canisters and partaken in multiple alterations, and maybe even used the Geneforge! They would be stronger than the PC who used Sucia Island's Geneforge, and would be literally unstoppable, even by the "Geneforged" Ur-Drakons. They would never become the slaves of creations, it would be below them. They would kill their past "friends" as they probably have no will to "live" by now, (see Master Hoge and Litalia, how corrupted they were, extremely powerful but without a speck of humanity). I would only join the rebels because I get power, in canisters, alterations and the Geneforge. Chances are, if I'm a shaper, they wouldn't allow me any of that. Loyal shapers have problems shaping 4th tier creations and casting powerful spells. You could only "survive" as a Loyalist as a Guardian. The loss of humanity is a great price to pay, but for me, it is fair. It may even be welcome should the rebels then betray me; I'll have no second thoughts should I need to kill them. If I do manage to survive, (as canister insane shapers no longer fear death) I would create my own empire, as the Sucia Island shaper who used the Geneforge did. Why should I care about what happens to other people if I have godly power and no way to think about what I have done?
  5. I would join the rebels if they fixed their system and worked better together, or a different sect which allowed lots of canisters and alterations. Otherwise, I'd just be like Sharon in G2, or some insane, unaligned shaper.

It is also true that the Barzite canister maker in G2 claims that it was difficult. However the drakon in G3 makes it look easy...

Then civil war will ensue. Really, where is the motive? To Exiled Necromancer, I spent more time typing this than I did trying to decipher your message. But every nation has its own problems. There may be a lot of infighting for the canister movement, but with strong authority (leadership) one could control the movement and lead them to victory! They would create uber creations and easily rampage over the hostile armies.
  8. The canister movement... They might fight for global domination, but most likely: more canisters!
  9. So Lord Safey, you think it's good to use every canister you can get your hands on because you will always have a strand of humanity left? That would be such an advantage to powermongers such as myself.
  10. A great possible problem with the shaper army is that they can't easily train all their apprentices the more powerful creations, such as ur-glaahks and drayks (assuming they're not banned). Canisters can help win the war; they're easy to make, and they will give the apprentices some quick power. One or two to each shaper can give them a massive advantage.
  11. How could anyone resist the temptation and just use canisters in moderation? Once you've used the canisters, you'll want more. Canisters are like drugs, but even more addictive. Eventually, you'll have to slurp more canisters, and at an snowballing rate. Even a purist shaper can be eventually tempted by the seized canister, use it and become Barzhal, using more and more every day. Training in the end won't matter, unless you're strong enough to resist it forever.

Is there such a group? The Barzites in G2, led by Barzahl and based in a city called Rising, had such a stance. If you've been paying attention to Emperor Tullegolar, you know their philosophy well, because the Tullegolites are basically just Barzites with a new name and leader. There's a reason Emperor Tullegolar is based in New Rising. Edit: Lord Safey, no more double posts please. If you have something else to say, edit your old post instead. Dikiyoba. It does explain much, but Barzhal was never an emperor. I just hate Barzites in one way: they give canisters to anyone. They should only give to the truly worthy and loyal, such as a Barzite shaper.

  14. Well the G1 Geneforge needed to be more powerful, because the level limit was significantly lower than the other games, especially if you're a Taker with the amulet.

Spoiler warning: 8 STR 8 DEX 8 EDR 8 INT 8 MeW 8 MiS? 8 QA? 8 Ana? 8 SC 8 FS 8 MS 8 BS 8 HC Note that the bonuses are abbreviated in case that you accidentally read ahead. But they should be easy enough to figure out. I think some of the bonuses are wrong... I haven't used the Geneforge in a long time.
  16. Grr... I wish I had Vista. However, I believe it was released maybe two months ago. Not many people have Vista, or still use Windows 2000. EDIT: The Microsoft website states that Vista should be availible in January 30th, 2007. So why does my friend have it?
  17. Vista? My friend bought a new computer in November, and Vista was already installed.
  18. Ah, thank you very much, Alorael. It couldn't hurt.
  19. I would love to beta test windows G4, but I absolutely never give out my real phone number or address. Add the fact that I have a lack of technical experience, I would not do that well. But I would still love to beta test G4... I just have 3 questions to ask: 1. Will Spiderweb Software ever contact me via phone? 2. Will Spiderweb Software ever use the provided address in any way? 3. Is it possible to fill in the form and leave out some areas? (Phone and address.) And yes, I know, I am absolutely paranoid.
  20. I don't think it's possible, maybe because I typed the code wrong or maybe because G3 is glitched or something. But try this: In game, press Shift-D, which will bring up a box. Then type nomorecheats. Hit enter (or click the accept checkmark), and if some text appears, then you have disabled cheats.

This is or will be a serious problem the drakons and drayks are going to have. Thier are all power hungery, jealous, and parnoid. Should more then one use the geneforge you then you have something called mutally assured destruction. It's already happened. If you play G3 as a rebel, look at the Isle of Spears. You'll see what I mean.
  22. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but in G3, in the Breeding Valley (Isle of Spears SE), there is a rotghroth to the NW that would only drop putrefied gauntlets (8 % Protection, -2 STR, -2 DEX, +20% Acid Resistance, +4 Spellcraft) if you had enough luck. The required amount of luck was somewhere between 4-9.
  23. I think Shapers using canisters can show some control over how many they use, so I believe they can use 6. They should make 6 powerful canisters, so after learning from a trainer, they can gain 1 point to learn the upgrade of a creation. That could be a effective way for shapers to make creations and give themselves a great advantage.
