  1. No one seems to see that a guardian can benefit from having the shaping skills. Yes, an agent cant benefit from shaping, but a guardian can. Personally, i think that some people arent playing the guardian right and so, cannot obtain thier maximum benefit.
  2. I dont know, you do seem to forget that the guardian can shape a LOT better than the agent. I just happen to notice that you arent taking the agents biggest weakness into account. The guardian can use all his essence on creations and the skill costs less, and the agent usually uses her essence on magic. Your other arguments are logical though.
  3. Hmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,...... (Im a windows user.) ...... Would it be possible to change the scripts so that you could get different random items, or more, or both,? (Sure would be nice to get things like emeralds and wands from every enemy....)
  4. Honestly, to get eyebeasts, you have to get 3 gazer levels. I assume that is quite hard to accomplish, and by the time you do, you have already gotten up to the end of the game. The reason i like Cryoas, is that you can get them once you get 280 GP, and you have a solid creation for the rest of the game.
  5. Essence armor makes you harder to hit and you take less damage. If you want to boost your max Hp temporarilty, cast augmentation.
  6. I assume you have creations with you. If so, the case is that creations will take up the essence needed to create them, so, if you have 20 essence, and you have a 15 essence creation, you will never have more than 5 essence as long as that creation still lives.
  7. I said Cryoa. Reason is, you can get them at the start once you get 280 gold, (start, tyallea then research notes) and have a D6 damage. Not to mention a +30% to hit and they have a fairly good stun rate. They Are VERY useful early on. Overall, they are quite useful.
  8. Somehow, I don't think "The master" is his actual name.
  9. You can get some madness gems in the crystal mines. (Im talking about the radioactive one.) Its in the center of the area, but they are really hard to get, hope you brought some heals....
  10. I havent gotten the game, I dont even have the full game, but id like to contribute what I have to say. If you get a fyora and keep it alive long enough for it to get some good levels, then those 11 EP are worth a lot. Cryoas rock, but roamers and artilas never seem to work well. I dont use battle creations very often, but I otften find that the plated bugs (Not Clawbugs) do fairly well. I also Like to use Vlish. Mostly for stunning.(Run out of energy all the time though) In conclusion, id say that for the early game, the best are Cryoas, Vlish, And Plated Bugs.
  11. OK, 3 ur-Drakons are nice. But how about something that comes a bit before that??? Anyway, i like vlish a lot.(Normal ones) I never found roamers to be all that great, since vlish are better in most ways, and searing artilas are just artilas with a higher starting level and a worse attack, so i dont like them either. I just stick with Cryoas, vlish, and whatever battle creation i can get. (I like plated bugs) Oh, and could someone tell me if the description of the clawbugs was fixed??
  12. Did he at least fix the description so that it doesnt say they have a poison attack?
  13. ok,,,,...... Can you by any chance create these "Blue" poisonous clawbugs?
  14. As those of you who played one of the previous Geneforge games may know, there is a part of the clawbug description that said they had a poison attack, yet, in actuallity they didnt. Was this changed in GF3? Any help would be great. (I use windows)
  15. Who knows, maybe the reason guardians have misplaced muscles is the same reason that an agent can somehow change colors..., or maybe its all part of training.
  16. Especcially in GF2, guardians get a lot trikier to play later on. Their fighting skills get very expensive very quickly. And about creating, they dont have the EP of the shaper and perhaps more importantly lack the blessing magic to enhance your creations. And they dont get much better at thier fighting skills. So, yes, guardians are very hard to use later. The only thing going for them is that they can get a very good parry which can make them hard to hurt.(They dont have that in GF1) Oh, and just a suggestion: get only one area of shaping, forget 2 of them. (Personally, I would suggest fire shaping)
  17. I dont see what the problem is. Jeff said there are several people who will want to join you, so, there you have it.
  18. Well, in my mind, you can be one of 2 types of guardians, A shaping guardian, or a fighting one. You can put all of your points into fighting. I find this to give me an advantage early and a disadvantage late, being an agent that can fight very well, but will have no magic. However, taking a shaping Guardian will give you a bonus later, In other words, you are a shaper that can actually fight. However, you will have to go without blessing magic. My advice, forget about shaping until you reach the end of the demo part, then concentrate your skills on shaping. The fighting later on will be limited as your skill cost will increase at an alarming rate.
  19. Who knows, maybe those "Real" Xian items are even more useless than the ones you get, unless its a Xian Anvil.
  20. Perhaps, then again, its all based on how the scenerio editor is made, so it might be easy to understand. Of course, it could be nearly impossible to use the thing. Who knows, he hasn't made the thing yet.
  21. Well, I think that a BOG should be made ASAP. (Moslty because I want to make some scenerios, but knowing my level of competance they will be rated 0 out of 5) It doesn't really matter what order it comes in. As for a blades of nethergate, I get the impression it wasn't as popular. Either that, or that the plot ends there, Its just hard to make a sequel to that kind of game. As for plotline.... um... ok.. Some odd scenerio where someone takes active action against the shapers, or that the shapers fell and you became a mercenary.. or.... I don't know, I think thats the editor's problem, not mine. (Oh, Drakefyre, I never saw any editors for GF2, besides the character editors, no scenerio editors. So, if im missing something please tell me, thanks!)
  22. Not exactly sure, but from the way it sounds, batons are superior weapons to bows, javelins, im not so certain. But in a world where magic dominates, wouldn't most people rather hurl a large fireball than an arrow.
  23. Um, not sure, I think it has to do with that those weapons arent good enough for the egotystical shapers. And outsiders dont sell you them because they probably remember what happened the last time they offered a shaper one of those....... You get the idea....
  24. Yeah, i know plated bugs are great, but clawbugs just dont seem to be much more usefull than thahds. And if I would die to make my army look stylish, i would hack into the graphics files and change them, but i really dont want to do that. By the way, do clawbugs and/or plated bugs have armor?
  25. I know that I recieve less (And in some cases more.) damage with certain items equipped. Thing is, I would sometimes like it to display certain resistances which it doesnt Show. (I would also like to see resistances for creations.) (Speaking of which, shouldn't certain creations be resistant to certain things. Like drayks to fire, cryodrayks to ice etc) And about the dialog... I think it would be easier to program the exile system than the averum system. Also, ive heard alot about how BOA has SO many bugs. I just think the exile dialog system would be more convenient. Creation skills: Ok, that was a dumb suggestion....
