  1. I remember it was horrible. Check the CSR tables at the Lyceum . Start at the bottom and work your way up. I'm sure it's in the 1's. Can you import towns from a scenario with a password though? I know it has one because I wandered through all 70 outdoor sections counting towns to submit it to Alex.

Has made all the towns and dungeons for the first chapter of E2, northeastern exile?
If you're asking if something like this exsists the answer is yes. I have had it on my harddrive for some time and just added it to my list of downloads. Made by Robinator.
  3. It's tough to come into blades wanting to be a designer but knowing that the bar has been raised many times over. On the other hand there are many examples of good scenarios for new designers to look at to aid in making a new scenario. I think I may be trying too hard to make Redwall a great scenario, and in the process I'm actually hurting it. It's turning out to be anything but simple and I haven't even gotten past the first official day.

  4. It's there inside the Comprehensive BoE Walkthroughs. All three scenarios are listed in the database and all three will take you to the download page. Here's the direct link for the page though.

Edit: Hey Bain, since you've played through them all can you tell me how many towns and outdoor sections they have. I had it on my list to do because there wasn't an easy way for others to get them till now... but since you've already played them you can tell me, right?

  5. Yep, that's the idea. I know that the url's are a bit tricky, but when I tried to copy/paste them without the comma at the end, the board would automatically shorten the url and put periods (...) in the middle making it more difficult to copy into the Alexandra submission form. This way may be annoying but it keeps all the characters of the url showing for accuracy.

You're talking about a BoE scenario?
This is the BoE forum. :p I haven't bought BoA yet and I don't relish the idea of making 3D graphics, or designing in script. I don't know if I'll ever switch to BoA. I'd rather wait for Pyg.
  7. Yes, TM, Frame Animation just like The Creator explains it in his Animations utility. (I feel you have no confidence in my ability to create a descent scenario as a first try.) And the 'stairway bug' as in the tendency for a stairway node to immediately call a special in the town you are entering if it is on the same square as the stairway node used to get to the town.

    Drizzt\'s page explains it.

    What do you call it?

LD: I don't know if it's more the challenge or the book that I love. I tell you though, the most challenging part of it is trying to concentrate on it with all my kids. Three times my two year old has just closed the editor when I got up to do something else. Luckilly it's always been saved, but one of these times it won't be.

(and you've eaten my brain twice... cut it out!)

  8. I'm doing Redwall first. Salamandastron is later in the series and I like to do things in order. I've got the layout of the Abbey done for three levels of it anyway. It took me a while to figure out how to beat the stairway bug. At present I am working on some Frame Animation. I have dialogues written for all the characters for the first day of exploration. I'm no where near done but I think it's a good start. Maybe I'll give you a sneak preview when the Abbey's first day is complete. You are my motivation after all.

  9. you could start by looking at some graphics that are already made. Either copy some from your game or download a custom pic from the web. Open them with Paint or a similar graphics program and fiddle around with them. Look at them at 800% zoom to see how they are colored/shaded. Then try to draw your own.
