  1. So, is this item just a joke, or does it actually do something useful? All I've seen is that, during combat, occasionally it will say "Pop!" at the start of the player's turn(the one who's holding it) and then they get Stone Blocks in their inventory. Can I actually build a wall with this?
  2. Tried that already. It basically just picks the ability again and asks you to aim it.
  3. Ok, I'm playing this on the iPad. Let's say I use my Shadow Walker's Razordisk Spray, but I notice that from where I'm standing I won't be able to do much with it. So I want to cancel--how the hell do I do this? It lets me pick another ability easily enough, but how do I cancel using an ability on the iPad version?
  4. Ohhhh, I assumed it would be one of those things where the fight ends when she loses enough health. That's not so hard.
  5. So I attempted the Zhephrine's Intentions quest(the one where Zhethron sends you to ask her intentions and she decides to eat you instead)--and I got curb stomped. What level should I be to attempt this quest?
  6. Ok, finally figured it out. I WAS at the right gate but I didn't realize that I was supposed to turn the wheels to open the gates.(I'm on an ipad so I can't just hover the mouse over things to see if I can interact with them)
  7. Ok, so I'm at Zhethrem's cave or whatever his name is. I killed all the wretches, talked to the guard lady, and she says that the dragon will see me now but hasn't actually opened the gate. I got a quest from her but I don't seem to be able to go anywhere except Goldcrag, The Aerie, and the road between them, so I don't think I can do this quest yet...but I still can't get in to see the dragon. What am I doing wrong here?
  8. It really doesn't make a big difference if you have a full roster? I don't usually play solo but I just beat the game as a Shaper and just stuck with 3 supercharged high tier creations. But snap, I'd love to run around with a little army if the experience penalty isn't significant.
  9. I looked at the first page--it was about Geneforge 1 and the weirdness of there being no spellbooks. I go to page 7 and...plumbing?
  10. So I played through this one to the end, but I'm wondering now if this is a glitch or if the quicksilver mechanic has been changed. Basically, in previous games if you equipped two things that have "+1 to action points"(usually a "quicksilver" item) then you'd have 10 base action points and could attack twice every turn. In this game I equipped the Stability Suit and the Quicksilver Sandles--both giving me +1 to action points--but a lot of the time I had only 9 action points and I never got to attack twice. Is this intentional or am I doing it wrong?
  11. Well you don't get as much experience if you have a lot of creations because it diffuses the experience between all of them. I just played through 5 and found it easier to just use the obscene amount of essence you get in this game to make 3 super buff creations.
  12. What exactly do lamps and candles do? I used them a few times, but they dont seem to actually do anything.
  13. Quote: Originally written by Mr.Bookworm: A great addition to G4 would be a little subtle. When you commit a crime, everyone in the area, even those who are on your side, turn hostile. For example, if you're playing as an Awakened in G2, there's a spy outside the gates. However, if you commit a crime, he runs at you like any other idiot. It doesn't make any sense for the entire area to go hostile. This was sort of done in GF3. It you attacked that town on the Isle of Spears(forget the name) when you're a loyalist, the Mooralis guy doesn't fight you-he just pleads for his life
  14. Are you sure its not GF1? There's a canister that covers you in acid in that area with the sage's house

The overall effects of both are more or less the same, so it could be either. And as for this bit about the Awakened, the fact is, while their ideals of a perfect world are nice, but unrealistic. Even with G2, the Awakened still had to fight(if you do their ending). The fact is, people are unreasonable. War is sometimes unavoidable.
  16. Pyroroamers. Not because they're useful AT ALL, but because it's funny when things explode
  17. Alternatively, you could just each have a seperate save file on the same game. Although then I guess you couldn't be on at the same time. Which would put you in the situation I have with my brother

  19. Yes, I've been there. Essentially, Rahul's defenses detect the orb and paralyse you. They throw you in the prison. However, avoiding the prison is a bad idea if your a rebel since you learn of Rahuls healing magic and can disrupt it when he tries to use it. If you don't, your in trouble. Although you can sometimes kill him before he uses the magic.
  20. Is it possible to post the files that you changed to allow this for all to download? Cause that is pretty awesome.
  21. You can still kill the Twin Minds and get the experience AND help the rebels, getting the benefits of both.
  22. Have you changed the endings scripts? If you keep both people at the end of the game this could cause problems. The game might try to load both Greta and Alwan's versions of the ending. Alternatively, depending on how the code is written, it could also remove that section of the ending text, although I'm guessing that the code would check to see if you had one, and not see if you didn't have the other, so it may be the former. I only know how to write Java, and in a very limited capacity, so I can't be sure.
