I just killed him. He escaped during the fight, although he got cornered. I mostly attacked from distance with batons. His creations couldn't do a lot, and still I ignored them because as he dies, the creations disappear.

I didn't use any kind of mental magic.

My drayk did a lot of damage.

From the rebel camp I only got 1 technician for this fight and then a baton-carrier + soldier combo (mere cannon fodder).

 

I still think that Shaftoe was way tougher than Eliza and Monarch

What is the Wingbolts' class? fire? magic?

Make your own decision man! no one should tell you what to buy or not to buy. In another thread you ask about the best creations, just go your way, pick your favorite ones and explore, take sides and kill some nasty monsters! that's the way to go Every one will have a different reason to pick one of another creation, pick yours!

Just out of curiosity I started reading this thread. It's really interesting and amusing, I must say, but I found more and more Spoilers considering I am still in chapter 2, so a *Spoiler alert* would have been appreciated.

I've just hit this area. I am a lifecrafter with 2 creations (Glhaky and Draky) and an assorted bunch of volunteers from the Rebel camp. It turns out that I ended up having 13 mechanics and to operate one of the control panes in one of the fens I required 20...

 

My question is: how much mechanics does a technician give? so I will probably dismiss one or 2 soldiers to bring more technicians

I am lifecrafter (very rebel ), my level before killing Eliza was 28. Now I killed her . I think Shaftoe was tougher though...

Oh I almost forgot, I attacked with a Glaahk and a levl 28 Drayk.

I just killed Shaftoe. Now I visited Eliza and she started summing lots of creations. I explored her bunker a bit but couldn't really operate crystal nor controls (is my mechanics 8 not enough?)

 

Any hints? should I try to disable some source of power or this will be just another tought fight?

I think I will explore more and get stronger to storm that regiment later.

But er... I am a rebel, I go to that town every now and then to sell stuff, they *accept* me. But I am not sure that if I press the "f" key to start a fight they will turn "red", my guess is that they will still be in green and therefore I can't attack them even if I wanted to, am I wrong?

Is the 31st regiment the one that is "guarded" by a servile who tells you to go away (if you are a rebel like me)?? if so, how many men (app.) do they have? I am considering an attack with my glaahk and my brand new Drayk.

Do not underestimate them, especially thinking they will be forever dumb. Some people in the past made the same mistake: saying that Serviles were stupid and look at the state things are now...

I used speed spores, but gotta admit that I took my time. After killing each one I went where they were to try the "g" key, but they leave no goodie upon dying

I remember the first one (in the west) summoned 2 battle betas. the one to the north, clawbugs. The one with 2 red pools made the rhinos and the last one (to the east) thads I think.

Life will better for us, rebels, now that that Shaftoe is dead.

Ok, I just killed that bad Shaper. I had to use "shieldsup" and "healmenow" a lot, but whatever.

 

Question 1: why didn't I get experience when killing the creations the servant minds sent? (thads, cryoras, worm and even the 2 big rhinos -can't remember the name sorry).

 

Question 2: in the corridor (North of Shaftoe's last stand) there is a door that does not open when I approach, is there any reason for this?

Honestly I can't remember at all. I think it was a canister (I have used all the canister I have found in every corner of towns and dungeons

Keep reading the messages, it will sometimes appear an early warning saying "he is creating an energy light" or something like that. It will repeat 2 to 3 times and then comes the "he has made an awesome beam of energy". Hopefully you will be far from his sight (he doesn't chase you) when that happens.

I haven't defeated him yet, I am a lifecrafter with 2 Glahhks, I can't cast charm and my essence is only 6 so, searer is not a great option either, I am considering killing him with the "healme" spell...

I refuse to help Shaftoe as I am here to kill him (I am a rebel).

Any particular suggestion on dealing with the 3 servant minds? (is melee better? or acid/venom attacks? etc) because man, these guys are tough too! oh btw, one of them is rogue, does that make any difference?
