Creativity is not your strong suit, I'm afraid.
Well, so you guys still flaming my idea. The thing is, I didn't read the 12 previous pages (maybe I should have), and ok, you can tell I didn't know the idea was suggested before.

Now, let's avoid judging people, let's focus on the posts -(non violent communication.)

Anyway, I still would like to see a Shapers invasion in Avernum (you like it or not), and I am happy that I just said it. I am SO sorry some of you felt so bad that I suggested it, I hope you all are fine.
    Saludos.
  2. I'm still surprised at all the attention I got for suggesting an idea that it's so *not original*, thanks for your attention Thuryl.

Now, I don't really care if you think it sucks, perception is a very relative thing...

It would be good to see YOU giving very original ideas wink

    Chau!

There should be an option for vahnatai player characters.

This assumes, of course, that none of the action will take place on the surface (since the vahnatai are sensitive to light). But I was disappointed that it wasn't an option in Avernum IV.
Well, since the topic starter was inviting to say what everyone would like to see in the next Avernum, I don't care if Thuryl does not like my idea, fortunately he's not the one making the decisions.
Anyway, it's good to be respectful with each other's ideas though...

    Greetings.

Here's an even better idea: how about you never make any suggestions for the future plot direction of the Avernum series ever again?
I'm not sure if I really got "the humour" in your message... Are you really talking to ME, or in general. I don't see why we should not make suggestions. If you didn't like my idea it's ok. Actually I'd prefer Jeff's opinion. Anyway...
  5. I really love playing in the middle of a big war and having to pick a side.

    Invasion and... war!!

Will the Empire (or the Vanhatai care about helping the Avernites?

  6. Speaking of weapons, have a look at this:

    1) Quicksilver Bulwark

    (Protection 12% Value: 5,000 )

    Armor: +12%

    +1 to Action points

    +1 to anatomy

    +2 to Lethal blow

    -------------------------

    2) Assasin's Shield

    (Protection 12% Value: 1,000 )

    Armor 12%

    +2 to Quick Action

    +1 to Anatomy

    +2 to Lethal blow

    -------------------------------

Is The first one really *that* better? (in terms of value of course)..

    I was just wondering..

  8. Hi, so I went to the town the slith leader asked me to go and ask help (to stop the attacks on them and the vigilantes) and the mayor did not help. I went back to the leader and he said something like "it's sad, but you should keep on trying, maybe we can still convince her". Well, after I killed the shade in that town (the one south of Blosk) everyone started attaking me and I had to kill everyone, even Oliver. Now, there is no mayor to talk to and the poor guy in Gnass still wants help, so???

  9. I don't know whether to go West (Erika's ruins) or East (Giant lands) first? I've already killed a bunch of brigands who wanted money at the entrance of what seems the route to Erika's. I also killed Annatolia and checked the secret passage north of Bharga, what to do now?

  10. Visa sounds great, and an International Roaming visa even better, just in case you find youself in Vanhatai lands.

Many townfolks mention "turists" from the surface, don't they bring traveler's cheques?

Also I guess you could have some kind of unemployment fund or insurance. (Just in case the job boards run out of petitions).

  11. I had the same question, sometimes the walkthrough is not *that especific*.

I saved before talking to Rentar and tried what I though was the diplomatic way...

    SPOILER:

And it was something like "can't we find a solution for this without fighting?" and although Rentar "is silent for a moment" she goes on saying I must be destroyed, then I reloaded and tried the "aggressive" option and we fought anyway. I haven't finished the game yet so I bet I'll see the consequences of my aggressive attitude ;-)

  12. Hi, so I fought my *first* round against Rentar and killed the shades. I've also cleared the Spire Fort and I read in the FAQ that after searching the "secret bandit passage" I should confront Hermes and, fight him? I already found that passage (it was empty) and Hermes is as polite as usual. Did I miss anything in my visit to the cave? or I need to go further north to find the answers... (let's say visit the 2 Abyss cities, which I still haven't visited).

    Thanks.

  13. I am almost done with the Great cave quests. I have explored up to Saffron and Fort Remote, now my question is should start in Spire and the towns in the Abyss?? or am I supposed to leave that for the end and head for Rhentar fortress first???
