  1. I did exactly that, but I haven't yet sold the excess armors and whatnots for I don't know if I would be needing them later on or not, ie I have now four sets of armors - each for fire, cold, energy, and poison - although I doubt that I will need them all but I like to be prepared. So far, I sold the two girdles of insight since I like the student's belt better. Otherwise, I have three huge piles of items. I hope that by the end of the next island, I might be able to dispose some of them though. Aside from the perfect stuffs, what else there is needed to be forged really? I have done the blessed necklace early in the game to help me. I haven't done other forging yet. What should I aim for so that I can begin to dispose some ingredients (such as gemstones and crystals)?
  2. I never exactly like the endings of GF anyhow -they all are unsatisfying to me. Well, I will just play by ears then. Here at Harmony Island, I think D. is on the right. The rebelling didn't do anything good. Lankan is just a tool for Litalia. He might think he is doing a rebel work but it all comes down to serving either one shaper or another. How did you guys get all the money for training? Even with my utilising the roamer marsh's vlishes advantage, I am still in need for some more coins. I don't dare to sell the gems or beautiful crystals for fear of needing them for some magic forging later on. How many of those forging do you actually do, btw? I made the blessed necklace and that's it b/c I am not sure if it's worth the cost of those expensive ingredients.
  3. Have 2 questions about these area. 1. What would happen if I kill the people in Sea Cave for opening their storage? Does it make the difference in pro-shaper, pro-rebel aspect? If not, I will go back and do it although now the exp. probably be quite pityful. 2. I am now at lev. 18 agent and want to know how to defeat the two golems. What are the tricks? Firebolt and spray acid don't seem to do much. thanks anyone who takes time to answer this.
  4. On the second thought, who else would be the pro shaper trainer and who would be the pro rebel trainer? If I want to be a purist, then does it mean it be a pro shaper? I actually haven't made up my mind yet so I have been holding off using the past canisters so far. I wonder if it is possible to come back to the past areas and and use them if I wish so. However, if I get to the rebel side, wouldn't that mean that I couldn't get into San Ru again without having to fight through? To what extent that the hostile reaction of shapers would go if I acted pro rebel (short of killing shapers of course)? I am now at the point of leaving Harmony and not really sure about anything. Please help.
  5. Is it possible to boost up the pro servile opinion before reaching her though? It seems that the one in Dhonal gives cheaper training. I am agent so not much into shaping creatures.
  6. Would it count as favour opinion toward rebel or would it be considered a crime that I cannot go back to the shaper? I didn't give the tome to the trainer back in Greenwood either since I'm not so sure and partly b/c I have already pilage everything there already.
  7. Thanks. One more question, I have made pro shaper opinions and now I read that there is a cheap trainer in the island for pro rebel. So, how many more opinions I need to give for her to train me? Most of the time, I give pro shaper ones up till I met Lankan. I don't really care for canisters at the rebel camp, so that's fine but it would be nice to get train at D's keep for less.
  8. Does 'forgiveme' work? I didn't see it on the G3 book.
  9. Sorry if this repeats other's posts. btw, I am at Harmony Island and now pro shaper just to get trained. I will be going to rebel camp next and not quite understand the walkthrough here. I heard that you can get both helpers to the next island - but how? Would appreciate if someone could give me tips on that. Which would be more beneficial in the next island - pro shaper or pro rebel? And if I have been given pro shaper opinions, how should I remedy that for pro rebel training? I actually feel pro shaper at Harmony Island - as D. said - he was not a god. From what I read, the rebel started from the gatherers (they are not serviles, right?) not the poor serviles. thanks all.
  10. This might sound stupid, but what is the max point for ability? I thought 3 but apparently wrong. Before I hadn't wanted to use the canisters but now am getting waver for I like to max out my agent power. Then again, I am not interested in all shaping canisters and think not worth using them over 6.
  11. I wonder if there is any opportunity to get pods from the herb store later on? I was caught stealing dried herbs outdoors and now I can't steal from any other containers any more. The stealing trick doesn't work with items in containers. Also, is it worth to go back to crystal mines in Greenwood to harvest more crystals?
  12. I have only one point of luck from the charm and was at level 11-12. It was not hard at all and there was no risk. This is how I did it although I'm sure that could be the better way for the more experts: As soon as I entered the area, move the cursor over the map on the middle spot of its route (should be about the intersection there), click for the characters to move there. This way I can catch a glimpse of the vlish when I drew near there then click F right away. The vlish will freeze or move away a few paces. Then I will move my characters to its anticipated path (ie if it was facing W then it will turn around and move oppositely). It won't attack you as long as you keep the reasonable space from it. When round 2 begins, it will move toward you and unfailingly stopped just an arm reach from you. A few slashes (if you have G or A) with a possible daze spell can guarantee a success. btw, I never could find out what became of the hoard of artilas that I missed at first. Did anyone meet artilas in Roamer Marsh at all? Also, I am now a pro shaper agent but wonder if if is really possible to switch side or do whatever to get the most from both in this island
  13. This is how this incident happened to me (now that I calm down enough to think back): Well, I happened to roam about after clearing the area (btw, there had been a vlish there the first time - not sure if it had anything to do with the subsequential vlished) when I somehow got separated from Alwan and Greta. So, I tried to regroup them when I found that they were facing a hoard of artila. I was panicked so hit reload button and afterward regretted it so I reentered the area and rambling about - and that was when a vlish appeared. I got the girdle of might then. I tried again and received another girdle. I think the first 5 or 6 vlishes dropped something. After that, I have to reload once or twice but it is worth the time. I now got over 10 girdles to sell (250 each). Good business! Does it have anything to do with the shrubs in south marsh area? Anyway, hope it help to increase someone's purse now.
  14. hey, I found out something nice from this area. If you enter the area from the south, then go nw toward the middle road that leads to the building (You need to take the certain path - if not, nothing will appear.), a terror vlish will appear and will leave nice items when killed. I got many girdles of might so far this way. Keep enter the area for more and try anew if nothing appears. I have no idea how many vlishes are there but it's getting fun with all the things they drop. It is rather petty but yields good profit. Would be appreciate if someone could let me know more about this experience.
  15. Have question about this area. I tried the softer approach with Shen and was told about the secret tunnel. Then, after the clearing of the area, I found an extra creature - so far a vlish that yielded the girdle of might. I wonder if this has to do with the tunnel that Shen had mentioned or not. Also, where do I look for the tunnel. I noticed an empty spot in the marsh area in the north but don't know how to get there. Can anyone give me some help? By the way, I'm sure there should be more rogues but not sure which way I should walk to get them to come out.
  16. thanks, I have been away awhile also.
  17. I have this same problem too, and it doesn't belong to any of the two above causes.
  18. Unlike the trilogy, nephil seems to do better here, much to my surpriese. Even without missile stat, it still able to damage opponent with bow at first level - that's rather impressive for I don't recall that slith can do that even with some bow stat. So, I drop my slith and change it to all 4 nephil party. I also come to conclusion that although divinely touch trait is nice, it doesn't seem to be worth the penalty since the added stat didn't contribute to any bonus unlike nephil dex starter that upgrade tool from the start.
  19. what is the max number of these skills (or the max necessary number)? eg. in the trilogy 20 barter is only needed/party.
  20. where did you get this info? I looked at the manual and there is no mention of special skills. Some more questions on 4 pc party - 1. slith pole warrior 2. nephil melee warrior (possible missile added later) 3. nephil priest 4. nephil mage would this be ideal? with 4 pc, I am not sure about 3 and 4. It seems there are two camps of thoughts about nephil pc, and I have no idea which to believe. Also, if the party level is more than listed in a chosen scenario, would there be penalty then?
  21. would a slith warrior and nephil mage/priest be an ideal enough party for the first scenario? Also, are there any speciall skills available in boa?
  22. Any suggestion on which is useful and whatnot for creating a new party? I wonder why boa editor doesn't have the 'change race' like in boe - I really like that feature.
  23. I actually tried to dl Drakefyre's party maker scenario at Alex's site but was unable to. If you can give me a site where it is available, I would greatly appreciate. Using char editor seems like cheating somehow.
  24. Although I hope that someday I would produce a few good scenarios for either boe or boa, I am not that thrilled with bog idea at the moment. It seems GF is already complicated both plot and structure. As a user, I'd rather Jeff goes from GF3 to other game (or maybe GF4 or 5 - who says one has to stop at 3?). I got hooked through G1 and now a fan of spidweb games, so really looking forward to all new releases.
  25. I don't know about boa, but I don't recall seeing any instruction on how to play other custom scenario. Speaking from a newbie's point of view, I open the zip file and see many files - one I can guess that it is the scenario file, and one has .bmp. But how about .meg? Certainly, for those who are not familiar with mac/pc different graphic file would have no clue what to do with them. (at least I don't) I think it should be assumed that a game player dl the game to play, not to make a guess which file goes where. #2. Yes, I mean the stat of the party incase the actual file erupts. #4. It might not be a good solution, but still designers should try to be a bit more farsight. Nothing is more frustrating than playing some games, get stuck, and have nowhere to turn to and unable to contact the designer.
