  1. I actually like not having a "bad guy". I say go for it.
  2. Also, the mages are working with quickfire in ASR.
  3. In a world with magic, technology becomes a lot less necessary. Very few times have futuristic technology and magic been fused in a way that I find pleasing. Star Wars, of course is the exception to this rule, and every other rule.
  4. I just hasted one of my characters and let him run back and let the others die. I had already killed the Vahnatai upstairs.
  5. Agreed, although it is a BoE scenario, and I took the above post to mean no definitive BoA demon scenario. If you have BoE, however, Demon would be a good place to look at how to do the whole demon thing without reverting to an OMG! DEMONZ are EV1L!!! KILL tEHM! type of scenario.
  6. Ephesos, does your hatred of undead extend to all creatures affected by repel spirit?
  7. It seems reasonably interesting. The problem wth demons is that sometimes they have no motivations, which is bad. For example, in my BoE scenario, Inferno, I was hevily criticized for the use of demons, but this was because they had no underlying reason for their actions.
  8. Yes, I'm pretty sure, at least.
  9. But you see, I'm a completest, I can't leave part of the game unfinished, no if I need a challenge, I'll try a singleton party on torment mode.
  10. But why wouldn't you do those things? I mean the shades weren't that hard once you got the right strategy, and those controls were extremely obvious. That lich who charms you right before rentar was a much harder fight for me, as was the one against the other crystal soul. Garzahd was also ridiculously easy.
  11. Speaking of the endgame, did anyone find the final Rentar battle to be ridiculously easy?
  12. As far as graphics are concerned, I think that many members of the community would be willing to make sprites and such. I don't know what copyright type issues this might cause, but otherwise, I think it could greatly enhance the graphics selection.
  13. I needed 16 tool use to shut down one of the controls in Rentar's Keep.
  14. I wasn't sure about a lot of the things at first, but now I am thouroughly addicted. When I try to play BoA I keep on clicking on a spot and wondering why my party isn't going there. I'm also quite fond of the seamlessness between town and outdoors.
  15. My guess is that you have to change the scripts.
  16. Whenever I open Avernum 4 (in Windows), it immediately minimizes a little bit into the intro music. I have to maximize it, and often repeat this process as many as ten times or more before the game screen stays up. Anybody have any experience with this problem?
  17. Yeah, money seems pretty plentiful to me. I was maxed out at 30000 for quite a while.
  18. I had the hardest time finding several of the pylons even though they were in plain sight. Specifically I remember having trouble finding the silvar, cotra, and tower colony pylons. They somehow managed to blend in to the surrounding floor.
  19. Actually, people have reverse engineered it, but we can't talk about that on these forums.
  20. I actually like the fusion of the indoors/outdoors. It adds to the realism and works very well with the idea of caves, where everything is going to be very close together due to space limitations.

  22. where can you find the above mentioned pipe?
  23. Actually, Wonko, I would say misspelling pylon is worse, seeing as Vahnatai and Rentar-Ihnro aren't real words.
  24. Another question, what is the best strategy for the fourth test?
