Fledgling Fyora steelcaress
I can't seem to locate the escaped prisoner Shadow Tarkus. I've been about everywhere in the dungeons and lower cells the annotated maps claim I can get to. Even the maps don't seem to mention Tarkus. I've even talked to Redbeard. Is it possible to find him? Am I looking in the right areas?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
You can't find him until later in the game.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
same thing with many other peoples, even if you have quest related to them you won't gain access to area where he/she is until later.
Unflappable Drayk adc.
Please specify. But I think you might be in the first area of the game. Lilith sniped the answer, so let me elaborate. You can't find Shadow Tarkus in the fortress, just do other objectives and don't mind the Eye ranting about it. I also have been looking for him when I first played this game, and guess what? I spent an hour walking around the cells. ----------- -Test Subject 8552
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
The dialog that pops up after Quiria dies tells you to report back at that point. It doesn't pay to skim the text in this game.
Fledgling Fyora steelcaress
Yeah, I was in the Avadon Fortress when I wrote that. I, too, spent about an hour uncovering everything and backtracking before I finally gave it up as a lost cause. I was hoping it would tie up that plot thread earlier, but I'm guessing there's a reason for Tarkus popping up later in the game. This is not the type of game where skimming the text works. The reason I'm playing it is because of the story, with all its twists. It's fun to follow. Reminds me a lot of Baldur's Gate, and Planescape: Torment, both games which I love. My young son couldn't get into it, because of the difficulty and the necessity of reading a lot (and no autojournal -- but the Record function is very nice). But he is a child of the Oblivion and Skyrim era, where my first CRPGs were Ultima II and Wizardry -- walk around til you find it, take notes, and pay attention.
