Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
This subject has been one of the things which were bugging me for a while now. Why is it so many people are so excited about this? Doesn't this occur once a month (just before the moon birth)?

In fact, a lunar eclipse can only occur on the night of a full moon. A new moon happens when the moon is between the earth and the sun: a lunar eclipse happens when the earth is between the sun and the moon. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Lunar eclipses occur only on the full moon when the sun, Earth, and moon are aligned in a plane. There is a slight tilt in the moon's orbit that keeps it from happening every month. A solar eclipse occurs when the dark of the moon, day before new moon blocks the sun. Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
What kind of tilt are we talking about? Is it a constant tilt? A Precession? A Nutation?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Constant orbital tilt. The moon's orbit isn't exactly in the plane with most of the planets circling the Sun.
