Kyshakk Koan eaintree
Maybe someone has mentioned this already, I don't see it in topics, but Scorched Greaves give a +1 to Focus Mastery, the Sorceror skill. Sorcerers can't wear the greaves.

Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
Also, frankly, incomprehensible. There's nothing to suggest that it's a joke, especially in the context of other difficult-to-understand name/ability changes (i.e., Rod of the Deep Woods changing from Shaman to Sorceror bonus). Kyshakk Koan eaintree
If it's a joke I have no idea what the joke is. It's obviously a mistake. "The cows stare at you, uncowed" is a joke. This isn't.
Seasoned Roamer Vee
There are some incorrect tooltips, too. Off the top of my head, the sorceress's arcane shield tooltip says the move affects all party members regardless of what rank the skill actually is. For a while I thought I just didn't have my party clustered tightly enough.
Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
By design, not a joke. Wearing them gives the effect of one level of Focus Mastery (adding chance of critical damage). Honestly, it seems pretty clear to me. And I like the flavor of it. These greaves have some weird magic that makes your brain more sorcerery. - Jeff Vogel
Magnificent Ornk Kelandon
By design, not a joke. Wearing them gives the effect of one level of Focus Mastery (adding chance of critical damage). Honestly, it seems pretty clear to me. I guessed that that's what it might mean, but it seemed sufficiently odd that I wasn't sure. It might be clearer to describe it in terms of the effect than in terms of Focus Mastery (i.e., "adds 5% chance of inflicting critical damage") and throw the "makes your brain more sorcerery" into the item description. I was a bit worried in part because it doesn't show up on the stat sheet, as far as I can tell, even though other things that add to your skills (e.g., Blademaster's Bulwark) do. Hatchling Cockatrice Slawbug
Oh wow. Just verified this -- that Path of the Shield cloak does produce visible defense gains for any character compared to another 6% armor cloak. Items that add to class-specific passive skills actually do add to that skill for characters of any class! That is crazy and extremely cool. Thanks for clarifying, Jeff! I've played hundreds of RPGs in my life, but without the explanation I would never have thought anything about it besides that it was a glitch (and I'm not a gamer who maths out details to that degree, so I would never have known that it gives a Blademaster or Shadowwalker crit percentage.)
