Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
We have put up on our site a temporary test update for Avernum 5 v1.0.1. This new version runs in millions of colors mode, will work on new Macbooks, and gets rid of the annoying corrupted dock problem. It can be downloaded, until v1.0.1 is out, at ftp://ftp.spiderwebsoftware.com/temp/Avernum5v101test.sitx.bin Feedback (including just saying that it works fine) is welcome at spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com. If you have an older Mac that can't handle 1024x768 resolution at millions of colors, getting this version is a bad idea. We do plan to leave v1.0 available for people with old macs. - Jeff Vogel
Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
In runs perfectly on my 1st generation MacBook Pro 2.0GHz Core Duo with ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 graphics running OS X 10.5.1. of course, 1.0.0 worked just fine for me too. Rotghroth Rhapsody Soul of Wit
Working fine on the Intel iMac iron. To clear your dock corruption (without a reboot) fire up Terminal and type: killall Dock (case is important)
Well-Actually War Trall Spidweb
The dock problem should be solved in the newest version. At least, I and a number of other testers haven't seen it, when it was happening every time before. - Jeff Vogel
Rotghroth Rhapsody Soul of Wit
Correct. The corruption is no longer caused, but you still have to get rid of it. In my case, it never went away on its own.
