Tenderfoot Thahd Mads
Hi, I would like some advice on gaming morals.. I really wanted to take advantage of the cheap priest training as an Anama, so I figured out how to get in and get out of the club without any mage penalties. Pretty simple: just kill your mage before you join and just let your fighters go through the glea removalthing.. I some ways this makes sense. Im sending in a spy.. He collects the cheap info and leaves.. But it still feels like cheating and taking advantage of faulty gamemechanics.. And I really dont like using cheats. What do you think? Articulate Vlish playongrass
Well, I don't know about the moral aspects but i think it's a pretty darn good idea... Think I'm gonna head back and check it out...
Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
There's also a funny way to cheat the Tower of Magi Timer in the roach pit. But yours is a little more interesting *Heads out*
Articulate Vlish playongrass
Wait a minute... How do you go about killing your mage?
Tenderfoot Thahd Mads
You attack the chained up Chitrach inside Ahonaria. This wont anger the city. They dont have much hp and miss 90% of the time. But they can kill your mage. In Shafrirs tower you got Guard Sentinels in the lower level to take out the magic users. This makes it look like a feature and not a bug. Jeff didnt HAVE to put those Chitrachs inside the city walls...
Articulate Vlish playongrass
Okay, did that... pledged myself to the Anama folks... Hooked up my priest... Walked outta the town and my mage is alive and waiting for me... Only thing is, now I can't cast any mage spells... Did I miss something, or that's gonna happen and therefore don't go the Anama route if you wanna keep your magic goin? Also, what did you mean by the "glea removal thing"? Tenderfoot Thahd Mads
If you join the Anama the normal way you get Spellcraft, Priest and magical eff. bonusses and a bunch of spell levels in the ritual - but the ritual also sets your mage lvl to 0 (or something else if your have the natural mage trait i think) AND all alive participants unlearns all mage spells. Your mage should be unaffected by all this. You still have the spell levels even if you cant use them while a Anama. Now you buy the wisdom crystals and priest spells you want. You can only join once so have a lot of gold ready. Then you go to Shafrirs tower in the Azure Gallery. He can break the Anama membership. This normally doesnt restore youre lost mage spells but who cares? Apart from this his ritual is the exact opposite of the Anama one: you lose the Spellcraft etc levels even if you didnt gain them in the first place. So kill your mage and priest this time. Articulate Vlish playongrass
Okay, Step 2... Shafrirs tower... Killed my mage and priest before the cleanse, they're waiting for me outside, but they didn't get cleansed... Mage still can't use the goods... EDIT: Silly zander didn't step on platform... got it now... Thanks!!!
Chittering Clawbug scottk
Wow that's amazing. Unfortunately I just finished my second play-through, which means Ahonaria is a currently ghost town.
Fledgling Fyora cytotec
Wanted to try this "cheat" but it seems I can't join the Anama- Alcander says that I have a dark magic permeating me (maybe Gladwell's geas?). I killed my sorcerer, and even my priest, and it won't work. any thoughts?
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
If you have Gladwell's geas you cannot join the Anama.
Well-Actually War Trall Khoth
You can't join the Anama if you accepted Gladwell's geas.
