I've a 900Mhz system on which BoA is just generally slow - pretty much everywhere, from normal movement, to hitting, to sounds, to death. Both have identical preferences. Other than that, the 900mhz might just be more degraded than the other one thus making it run a bit slower too. (Although the degrading factor shouldn't affect gameplay that much...) (Programming includes not only coding but also design ... bad design makes for more problems than bad coding) I rather doubt that. There are examples of bad design (if I put arbitrary limits like 'max 30 scenarios, if you want more just shuffle them manually' in any of my programs at uni, I would not pass that course until I removed them), but if it works on one computer and slows down on another similar computer ... I've got a Mac 9600 (which is from '96) with a G3/400 upgrade card stuck in it and it runs fine for me. And I don't have a clue what "you rather doubt." And the scripting processing is probably the slowest part of the operation because it involves a fair bit of data manipulation that is performed by the engine finding critical strings and numbers in ASCII text, which takes a while.
