Where is unlock level 3? Av 1

The hint book says Almaria.

I have looked hard. but I can't find it. Could someone please tell exactly where and how to get it. Spoil it completey, I'm at my wits end.

Depends on which game. Are you playing A1, A2, or A3?

 

In A3, it is in the House on a Hill, near Sharimik. Don't remember A1 or A2 -- looking them up now.

 

EDIT: In A2, according to the Crystal Source, it is in a "[t]ome in Erika's Tower. To break the seal on it, you need a Blessed Athame."

 

EDIT 2: Silver seriously needs to get Avernum Annotated Maps back up. I don't remember A1 at all, and it doesn't seem to be online anywhere.

I remember one of the statues teaches you it after Erika tells you something ... hmmm, I'm not sure what she tells you or what you have to do for her that lets you get info from the statues.

Oh yeah! You have to join the Scimitar, I think, and then Erika tells you the word "Divulge," and then one of the living statues somewhere — Almaria, maybe? — gives it to you.

 

Well, it's something like that, anyway.

 

EDIT: Read the edited first post. Yes, the living statue in Almaria gives it to you once Erika has told you to ask it the word "Divulge." The living statue is in a group of other statues in the southwest.

Uhuh, I found exactly what triggers Erika to tell you about the Divulge password for the statues, you have to get past the giants gate and grab a boat, than find an island with a small tower on it and talk to Aldin, than return to Erika and ask about her plans for revenge, she should now tell you about the statues and divulge ... head to Almaria and talk to the statue to get your spell as mentioned above.

Hmm, I was just at Erika's tower, and it seemed like I would need Unlock level 3 to get in there, so the solution to getting unlock level 3 can't be to talk to her... or am I missing something?

 

Oh, and while I'm asking, the two goblins, I couldn't figure out who's telling the truth and who's not just by talking to them. Any hints/spoilers appreciated.

You don't need Unlock Doors L3. There's a secret passage, IIRC.

The goblins are a scarlet smelt. Just kill 'em and cease the futile questioning. After all, they are just goblins.
