Tenderfoot Thahd TanCenturo
Okay, I know this might be impossible, or not if a creater of any of the three Avernum games is present, but I am a player who often dies and has a bad party build-up, what I hate is that I have the habit of always unvealing every bit of 'fog of war' I can as I go through the game, and it gets annoying as I start over again over and over. Is there anything I can change in the code so that all 'fog of war' dissapears in each of the three games?
Rotghroth Rhapsody Dark Mage
you try to deveal every bit of black map?sometimes i do it too because there can be a treasure in everycorner but sometimes in big dungeons i just get bored and go straight to the quest
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I can't remember if the Avernum editors can reveal town maps or if it's only the Exile editors. Have you checked? —Alorael, who just verified that Avernum doesn't have the map options. He doesn't have any other bright ideas.
Garrulous Glaahk Xoid
If you are absolutely pedantic about mapping every where, then use magic map. Once you get it at level 3, use it outdoors, and use it frequently. Get into every nook and cranny, and use the Orb of Thralni to go places you really shouldn't. I've managed to get almost every section and every town of the Avernum Trilogy completely mapped out. I don't think I've ever had less than 2/3 of a section mapped out, or 9/10 of a town. Unflappable Drayk John S
Exile has Magic Map. Avernum has Far Sight. It's considerably less powerful, and only useful if you suspect you're missing something.
Tenderfoot Thahd TanCenturo
Is there any thing in the code I can change so that the fog of war disappears perhaps?
Understated Ur-Drakon The Almighty Doer of Stuff
Yes, but the CoC forbids discussing such actions.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
And even if that didn't bother you, I doubt that anybody knows how to make that specific change anyway. Sorry.
