Fledgling Fyora Tanstaafl
Using iPad version in case that matters. Are you able to delay your turn in combat - like older versions where party member #1 has turn then #2, then #3 might wait so party member #4 has a turn and it goes back to 3? And does wait no longer do an automatic hit to apporaching mobs? The old games if you hit end turn with movement left, you swung at next monster that entered melee range. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
1) No. Jeff felt it was too exploitable. 2) If this ever happened in earlier games, which I'm not sure about, it definitely doesn't any more.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Avernum 4 eliminated the old wait to delay a character's action until later in the round. Now the space bar ends the character's turn so you go on to the next character. This makes it important to plan your party order or dexterity/quick action if you change the preference to that as the order for party actions. No more attacking without going into combat mode so the lead character could just walk up and swing at a monster blocking the route. I really miss that when going through a cleared area and having a trash monster repopulate that would die with one blow. Welcome back to Spiderweb Software. Please leave any recently acquired sanity at the door. It helps with the frustrating game mechanics changes.
