Curious Artila Endarire
Greetings, all! I just started playing tonight. How do I rest to restore HP & MP without using Brissa?
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Just go back to any friendly town and it should be done. And also welcome to spiderweb forums.
Curious Artila Endarire
Thanks! I arrived at Fort Avernum with 1 HP and no MP. I didn't auto-rest. Was curious how.
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
Yeah recharging happens only when you come back from outdoors, not basements and such. I never liked this but that's the way it is.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
In other words, just walk out through the gates and back in and you should be fine.
Chittering Clawbug kensuguro
btw, related to this, sometimes reviving dead players don't work, and I need to go out and back a couple of times, particularly when there are more than 1 dead player. This is the ipad version.. some sort of bug?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Yeah, that's a bug. The game places revived characters semi-randomly, and sometimes all the places it tries to put them are occupied, especially if the party is in a confined space. It's relatively harmless if it happens when returning to town, but can be annoying if it means you waste a Return Life scroll or spell, especially in the middle of a fight. Chittering Clawbug kensuguro
wow, in the middle of a fight will be tough. I've had cases where the system detects it, and tells you "can't place character" or something to that effect.
Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
In the outdoors you can rest by just moving around a little or pressing space bar (wait). But remember that if you do us the space bar, the random encounters wont wait to attack you while you rest.

I have got that few times in 1 area and few times char has respawned to very wrong place in same area (out of all possible places char gets resurrected next to enemies). Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
I just tested this. If you use the key board and press either space bar or 5 on the keypad so you do not move, your party will recover their Health and Magic if it is not full. Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
health gets back as "turns" are used but not spellpoints (in pc version 1.0 and update-page doesn't mention it being added).
Ineffable Wingbolt Mosquito---Slayer
It certainly doesn't in my version. Edit: I mean spell points.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
very easy to test, cast for example cloak of curses few times and then go outside town/tower of magi and keep pressing space.
