Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
In Jereth Deeps with a singleton (Editor partially enhanced) Blademaster, ogres quest completed, trying alone to fight the Blue menace. He's stucked because the big servants manage to exchange health with the dragon and no physical attack seems to be strong enough to weaken even one of them (there are two active for the time being). So the Blademaster tried ice wand, wand of venom, crystals, but no way to solve this empasse. He barely managed to retreat and went back to Zethron's liar (thanks to Teleport scarab). I know Sorceress is pretty smart and efficient against the big servants but I ask you: there's something else Blademaster could try alone to defeat the servants instead of give up the singleton and take the Sorceress in the fight? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I've tried singletons on torment and the only fights I could never generate enough damage per round to finish are Redbeard (I was too terrified most of the time). Zephyrine, Titan Keep palisades as a sorceress, and Ghorz in the dungeon under Avadon. Against the big blue most of those wands don't hit and won't do damage. This fight is mostly physical and fire damage.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
All right, thank you. Blademaster will then get back later with higher strenght and dex levels and supplies of Fire wands. By the way, I can't remember about a "Ghorz", unless he was that wretch prisoner I never fought (he's so naive I couldn't think of killing him). Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Ghroz is indeed the wretch prisoner you are sent to find. Dikiyoba.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
He's a lot tougher than he whines.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Urgh. When he's so tough I wonder why is the party/character allowed to fight him only when about level 2 ? I mean there's no choice, you are asked to immediately decide what to do with him, can't reconsider the matter, this sounds odd when you think you can go back "later" to some other tough foes (i.e. the Blue boss). Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You can take him out with a blademaster and a range attacker combination. I've done it with a blademaster and sorceress. It's really hard.
