Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
In the loyalist last part of the game, when the party decide to join Redbeard, go downstair and fight the invaders, you expect to fight side by side with the Keeper and Hand Callan to free Avadon, but nothing happens. I am disappointed about this. What do you think?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I killed enough getting upstairs. Let some one else do some work for a change.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
True :-) but I feel the adventure lacks of some sort of epic last battle (loyally speaking), you know, fifty well matched invaders from the Farlands against the party, Redbeard and Callan... that might have been a nice place to be :-)))
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
In game explanation: You got there too late. Most of the fighting has gone down, and most of the surviving invaders have fled. Redbeard stays away from the fighting because, well, he's old enough to be a grandparent. Out of game explanation: More work, less story telling. Jeff didn't feel like it.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
I agree this is an author's choice and I didn't mean to question it, only meant to express my point of view: you get to join Redbeard after many demonstration of loyalty, after your report in Redbeard chambers says you are loyal and skilled, at this point you are, and you expect to fight with him and for him and nothing happens, so I felt a bit "bag snatched". But it's not serious after all there will be a second chapter of the adventure and who knows what Jeff will think up :-)
