Is there anything like that here in the Avernum games? Like I know on some other RPG games I play, alone, some items don't do anything. But if worn as a set (items of the same kind equipped at the same time), there are hidden bonuses. Anyway, their whole gimmick is that they have some of the highest damage or armour bonuses of any item of their type, but no other special abilities.
