I never search for dissertations myself, so it didn't occur to me that maybe I could. And I'm in Germany, where foreign doctorates (including mine) are viewed with some suspicion, so I'm not sure my university will have sprung for whatever subscription fees ProQuest charges. I haven't been able to find any handy web portal on the uni library website here where I can search for ProQuest theses from home via VPN or something.
