Fledgling Fyora Kevin
Game: Geneforge 5 OS: Mac OS10.6.4 Hardware: iMac 2.16 duo core Problem is that keyboard stops working after some (undetermined) play time. I did find: http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubb...rue#Post152475. If I quit out and restart the game everything is back to working, so this isn't a show stopper... more just an irritation! But, I am not using Quicken. I think I installed Quicken a long time ago but it was rubbish so got ditched. I have had no problems with A6 which I played just recently. And I had Safari, and Mail open when playing. I played through the demo without any problems, only seems to have started when I registered... though could be coincidence. If anyone has any thoughts it would be most appreciated, Kevin
Kyshakk Koan La paix
Try quitting Mail when you're going to play. I seem to recall that it can also take control of the keyboard.
Fledgling Fyora Kevin
Tried running withoutMail and all seems to be well, I will need to do a test with Mail running to see if that is the issue. Bit of a weird bug isn't it? Cheers Kevin
Garrulous Glaahk Skomer
For the record, I'm having the same problem. Most recently started when I option-tabbed away from G5 and started Firefox. I never run Mail or Quicken. The problem isn't fixed by restarting G5, but quitting G5, then quitting Firefox, then restarting G5 then Firefox did it. Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
I thought it was command-tab?

Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
But he said "option-tab", and Windows doesn't have an option key (well, usually), so I assumed he was on Mac.
Garrulous Glaahk Skomer
(she) Mac, yes. I mean doing the same thing as alt-tab on Windows. Truth is I don't know the name of the key so I probably got it wrong. The one with the apple and funny squiggle on it. Could be option, command, apple-key. Dunno. "A key by any other name..." Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
It's the command key. The oddity didn't even register with me, because I run Windows via Boot Camp, so on my keyboard, in order to alt-tab away, I actually DO have at option-tab away. Option is actually the key to the left of that key; it's also labelled alt on newer keyboards.
