Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
This only works if you have more than one character, one of whom can cast mage spells without a problem. If you meet that requirement, and then if you have another character that has a few points in made spells and knows a few buffs, but has to much bulky armor, you can do this: OUT of combat, go into the mage spell list from your character that can normally cast mage spells. Get the number of the person who normally can't use mage spells, and push it. The mage spell list should go to that character, and the spells they know and are in their skill range should be useable. Since this is out of combat, however, you can only use buffs (and if you want, summons), but that isn't very bad. It is a good way to get your fighter with all of his/her heavy armor to haste the party (or summon a rat). The buffs might not be as strong, but if you are low on spell energy or something, or maybe just want to save a bit of it, then this is something one could do. Unflappable Drayk Zummi
Non-hostile spells to be exact, like summon spells, then again, who'll be summoning a giant rat against the Slith Horde?

Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
I think you should be able to summon mage rats. And so should mage rats.
