Garrulous Glaahk Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs
I've checked out the FAQ. Some of these allow interaction based on Luck. Still, there is a pylon in Western Wastes that causes a stinging sensation when pressed. My Luck is 27. Am I accomplishing anything by pushing it? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You have to do the pylons in the right order to prevent the stinging sensation. The correct order should be in a spoiler near the end of FAQ I think a few have loot in them.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Or, if you don't want a complete spoiler, all the pylons that you can touch are part of a ritual. Figure out which order to touch them in and you gain access to an area that was previously impossible to enter. Luck does not play a part in dealing with those pylons. Dikiyoba. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It's possible to get into that area without touching the pylons, however you miss out on the dialog and will face plenty of combat.
Garrulous Glaahk Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs
Thanks all. As soon as I found a second pylon like the first, and especially after reaching the spirit city, I understood there was a sequence to follow. The description of carvings depicting people lining up to touch the pylon convinced me that this was a pilgrimage ritual or somesuch. What a huge spoiler it was! That dialogue and others really suggest that serviles are the descendants of warped humans from that ancient conflict. If anyone reads this, could you please remind me what the "bone baton" was for? I found two or three of them in pylons. They were each described as an "ivory rod" and appeared as a special item.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Are you sure you found more than one? The bone baton is a special item that opens secret areas in the Stone Circle. Other pylons give you ordinary wands. Dikiyoba.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dantius
Those are the four Rod items. They are just nonoffensive Wands. Rod of Sucor: Heals the entire group Rad of Alarcity: Hastens entire group Rod of Defenses: Shields entire group Rod of Battle: Blesses entire group
Garrulous Glaahk Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs
Ah, ok. I was wondering if it was a wand, but I didn't notice at the time.
