Beta Call: The Siege of Copperpeak
Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs replied to Ephesos's topic in Blades of Avernum
Is it too late? Name: Rionep OS: WinXP E-mail: jaceysquires@gmail.com Favorite fish: seared Ahi tuna -
I'm a Guardian playing Normal, so I'll survive one way or another. That said, if I start raising a team of vlish as soon as I reasonably can, will they level enough throughout the game to be more valuable than the fewer number of glaahks or eyebeasts I might have eventually created? If you support the decision to go full Vlish, should I create as many as I possibly can?

Would you have stayed in the basement with Sergeant Nichol?

Could have eaten the goblins if you hadn't killed them all. -
The Okavano Barrier[G5]

I don't believe he was serious about looking for it because he'd have to be playing Geneforge 6, which he isn't. -

It might have been my binge-playing, or it was the inevitability you mentioned after realizing you already know how it has to end.

Miscellaneous post- identify this game?
Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs replied to Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs's topic in General
Thanks for correctly identifying Another World for me. I just played through it. It was fine, but I used a walkthrough. There were a few bits in which I wouldn't have otherwise understood what I missed. ------- That Northern Isles game sure looks interesting, but it looks like it would take more effort than I would care to put into learning. -
Miscellaneous post- identify this game?
Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs replied to Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs's topic in General
Thanks, Thuryl. Also, where in the world is the Miscellaneous section I found before? -
I've seen screencaps of this game appear on the internet. I'd like to play it, but I can't tell what it is.

The Okavano Barrier[G5]
Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs replied to Avarakadavra's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
in G6 you get both sides of Monterrana, the other Shaper continent -
Thanks all. As soon as I found a second pylon like the first, and especially after reaching the spirit city, I understood there was a sequence to follow. The description of carvings depicting people lining up to touch the pylon convinced me that this was a pilgrimage ritual or somesuch. What a huge spoiler it was! That dialogue and others really suggest that serviles are the descendants of warped humans from that ancient conflict. If anyone reads this, could you please remind me what the "bone baton" was for? I found two or three of them in pylons. They were each described as an "ivory rod" and appeared as a special item.

NEED OF IMPROVEMENT IN GENEFORGE
Rionep Ecnirp Etlevs replied to irfan's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
There are two/three components of the rebel force: outsiders (human) and creations (serviles and Barred-type). All seek freedom, knowledge, and power forbidden by Shaper law, but the creations are also reacting to the threat of extermination by Shapers. By law, a creation without Shaper control must not exist. -

Which lost continent was that? And where is Drypeak (G2) supposed to be located relative to Terrestia? On an island? In G5 I nearly got the impression it was continuous land far southeast (further south than the G4 territories), except that makes it strange for the G2 character to arrive at the southeast tip of Drypeak and explore unknown territory by traveling north and west. -
