Curious Artila Altair
Don't you just feel sorry for that Vlish? I had to blow her ski high... Look http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2658/badlucksg9.jpg
Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
Good tactic, actually. But very cruel, ouch. . . This gives me a few ideas.

It wasn't a tactic but a mistake. That was an upgraded Vlish and i had to reload. Anyway the Vlish is too expensive to use like that, a couple of kamikaze Fyoras would perform mush better. Kamikaze tactics are good against those nasty plants. Send a couple of thads to deal with the buds than move in and kill the plant.
Unflappable Drayk Jeran Korak
Agreed. I wonder if a maxed endurance creation horde for a shaper who used a lot of magic would make a good gameplay option.

Most of your essence is in the creations.

You can also use overwhelming force to take out the plant in a round or two and ignore the remaining buds. There's usually no reason to kill the buds and then the plant. —Alorael, who strongly supports the use of overwhelming, concentrated, and immediate force, usually at range, against all stationary enemies. Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Basically, you continuously creep closer to the plant about one AP at a time. It takes effort, and can get aggravating, but if you're willing to work on it, it'll make a lot of fights easier. The Last Archon

Yes, better to kill the plant first. I've seen a plant regenerate three buds after I killed all of them.
