  1. Oh, I was at that part where you have to run...I did a little more research and found out Tawon raiders infinitely spawn from the south exit zone (thats where I stood my ground for about 20 minutes before just dying...)
  2. I'm back at Fort Foresight, but I can't get past the south pathway. I keep on dying since there a lot of enemies and they do crazy damage. I manage to stay alive and kill loads of them, but then one manages to get right next to my team and AoE them all for 200~300, or one of the sorceresses does three "storm" attacks in a row...
  3. I just used regular attack over and over again. Basically gave Yoshiria the Battle Frenzy Scarab, maxed center column, and 8 razordisk training, as well as a crapload of missile boosts and 41 Dex. Her single base attack is enough to deal 100~200 to Vardy each hit. It was a pretty cheap strategy, but when life gives you doors (or staircases!)...
  4. Lure him to the northwest door where your 'cell' was. One party member needs high dexterity to dish out powerful ranged attacks. Shoot, door, skip, skip, door, shoot, etc. Free loot and medal. Takes 2 minutes on Torment, have fun.
  5. We could make items that decrease the amount of AP you consume from certain actions.
  6. Maybe if the AP boost was permanent, I would consider it, but there's too much luck in it for me. (Please, please, PLEASE GIVE ME 10 AP. Please, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PARRY...NOOOOOOOO!!!) That's what I try to do, (all Blademaster buffs AND both scarabs) but it still doesn't cut it for me.
  7. Are they even worth putting on the characters I use the most? I mean, Fleetfoot Boots are easily outmatched in terms of defense and resistance bonuses. As for the Shock Troop Shield, I would much prefer the Warrior's Shelter once I get it. Even then, other shields give bonuses to healing and HER that Shock Troop doesn't provide. And I haven't acquired Veneth's Spear yet, but who wants spears on Torment.
  8. On another question regarding percentages, when I have damage, dodge, or some other boost, are the percentages added up and then multiplied with damage, or are they compounded? Or is it that each percentage is tested or something complicated like that? Like lets say I have a +10% and a +5% melee damage. I do 100 base. If it was just +15%, I would do 115, but it it was compounded I would do 115.5. (110*1.05) Just wondering if it's more worthwhile to pile all boosts on one character, or if they start becoming obsolete at some point. This is because Yoshiria already has 37 dexterity at this point, as well as... Spidersilk Tunic (25% dodge) Sheltering Buckler (25% dodge, 5% enchantment, wonder if these are added up as well?) Smoky Greaves (20% dodge, 5% enchantment) Shadow Mask (20% dodge) I could also give her a 20% dodge cloak and sacrifice her Sharpshooter's Mantle (+10% missile dmg), but I'm wondering if it's worth it.
  9. Does the character stats page reflect the true damage reduction then, incorporating all skills and armor combined? I've also noticed that weapons/armor bonuses that give "X% extra melee/ranged damage" don't get reflected in the weapon tool tip. Or is it?
  10. While I'm leaning more towards Strength at the moment (so I can put heavier armor on Alcander), it it possible to raise the armor stat (or any stat for that matter) over 100%? I think with a combination of the center column and heavy armor, it would add up to be more. Although I'm neglecting Dexterity, I can't live without Yankshot. Lets me get in so many more attacks with melee NPCs and pets. Decisions decisions...
  11. Aw. Then I can't do crazy damage when I give Yoshiria all of the cone attack scarabs. What should I put Alcander's extra points into? He has a lot of skill points that benefit melee, so I guess Strength - but I don't want him to die off in an important battle. Time to get those last two points for Tristram then...
  12. Thanks for the great advice guys. I'm having a lot easier time now, looks like survivability is a lot better than damage output in Torment. Final stats for anyone that come across this thread. Tristram, Level 22 Yoshiria, Level 22 Alcander, Level 22 Stats are listed in Str, Dex, Int, End. Skills are in the format "Column - Bottom Skill, Higher Skill, etc." Boosted stats are formatted "Stat without Item Boost (+ Item Boost)". Middle column specializations all the way.
  13. Feature I DON'T want to see: Romance. I saw someone suggesting this somewhere else....NO NO NO NO NO, PLEASE NO. This would pretty much wreck the game. I WOULD like to see more creation types. Perhaps giving your creations additional skills, besides one melee and one ranged attack.
  14. I've probably lost loads of main storyline medals for using rechargeme and retrain while exploring regions and trying to figure out how I want to build my characters... Haven't actually finished the game, but Jeff makes really hard decisions. I don't want to end up killing Silke or be hostile towards her, but hell no am I joining the rebels.
  15. I'm kinda lost on how to do this. I'm trying to beat this game on Torment using a Blademaster PC along with Yoshiria and Alcander. The Strategy Central guide doesn't really tell me anything about class skill building. Characters are all Lv20. Tristram has every point pumped into Strength. (28) 2 Points in Middle Column 8 Melee Training, 6 Archery Training. 8, 6, and 1 in the center column, from bottom to top, not counting the 2 specialization points. 7 points in second wind. He can do some pretty big damage, but a lot of the bosses like to knock him back, immobilize him, and then two shot him. Yoshiria has everything in Dexterity (29) 2 Points in Middle Column, again. 7 in both Blade and Razordisk Training, 7, 3, 3 in Middle column without specialization bonus, and 3 points in Recovery and Shadowstep, 1 point in Shadowwalker Focus. Needless to say, she has less health and gets beat up even faster than Tristram. At least Alcander can summon his turrets and then get the hell out of there, assuming he isn't killed first either...I must have spent two hours on that Hundred Claws fight. Any suggestions?
  16. Aw, I thought I was on to something there. Oh well, thanks for the info.
  17. I'm wondering if Miranda ever explicitly states if her husband was executed (I sorta skimmed through conversations with her through both games). Because: I haven't finished Avadon 2, so if my spoiler idea is the case...well yay I'm smart.
  18. How do you do it? After fighting Miranda, I remember challenging him with the "you attacked a Hand and you must pay", and I got past the turrents and Incubi, but the gate is locked. Is there some other entrance? If there isn't, I want to modify the script to unlock that door...because the turrets, mines, and Incubi are HELL on Torment, and I'm not doing that again.
  19. I've played the whole series, and something I've noticed is that while the first game gets referenced a lot, e.g "A shaper discovered the secrets of lalala, in some mysterious place", or the name of the rebel territory at the end of Geneforge 5.... Geneforge 2 doesn't ever seem to come up. I don't think I've ever seen any references to the PC or story in Geneforge 2, besides drakons talking about Easss. I don't think the word Drypeak is even mentioned once in later games... I'm a real fan of Geneforge 2, so I'm sorta disappointed. Anybody know of places in other games where it's brought up?
  20. For a bit of input, yeah, Bernard is pretty much a jack@$$. Trajkov isn't really that bad. He has moral motivations, he's able to control the canisters, unlike those Barzites that come later... Geneforge 2 has probably one of the best stories. At first, I tried to powergame all the sects, abandoning the Servants, then going to the Awakened. Seeing Shanti's death played with my emotions, and make me take a Loyalist ending. I did all I could to kill everyone in Rising after seeing that humiliating end. As for the Takers, meh. Fun endgame enemies.
  21. I made that Artila when I was like 6 or 7. Battle Alpha coming out in about 10 years.
  22. Should have made the picture more zoomed out. Dikiyoba is correct; the artila is made of clay.
  23. One of the Artila's fangs fell off Downsized now.
  24. I love the Awakened. They're actually the most honorable, but unfortunately, being fair doesn't make you win a war. Being a Taker in Geneforge one gives you immunity to Sholai. I like that. Geneforge 2, I chose the Barzites..because I'm power-hungry. I chose Rebel in Geneforge 3 because Greta can do magic. Geneforge 4, I decided to go Shaper instead. Geneforge 5, I like Alwan/Astoria, bit undecided on that.
