    Yeah bringing BG into the D&D 3.5Ed would probably make it more playable, however 4Ed might brake it.

    I remember trying to play it and giving up very quickly because everything was going so fast and not knowing if the spell I ordered to cast was finished and I can cast another one or if the potion I wanted to quaff was quaffed or not etc.. it was unmanagable
  2. How about "Kingdom, The far reaches" and it's sequel?

    It might look real snazzy in HD.

    It was a simple game albeit very hard, you could get killed for so many things, even for going to the wrong place at the wrong time.

    I remember I really liked the game, from the demo to the actual first episode.

    to freshen your memory

    You start at a wizards tower (you being the apprentice) him telling you that you need to go on a quest and he gives you a bag of scrolls and asks you which spells you want him to make next.

  3. Two things I would like to see improved are:

    1. The numpad enter working (euivelant to pressing ok in messages)

    2. The auto-walker's range extended (unless the plan is to allow the game to also work on a pentium 1 or a 486)

    A thing I would like to see implemented is that anything named Tower will have more than a ground floor a basement and a first floor. Such structures are usually referred to as a building or a house not a tower.

  4. learn the sentinel weaknesses and equip accordingly if possible, don't turn off combat mode after buffing for anything but first aid, use haste when crossing bridges, preferably move in turtle formation and stick to fighting in narrow and walled corridors, use strike and retreat (run away from golem until it stops pursuing, end combat wait one turn for first aid and resume combat) tactics when possible and keep your mages and priests out of explosion radius of worker golems (preferably send the fighters forwards while leaving both the mage and priest behind a wall, they will still be able to heal and haste but not bless, augment or protect).

    For more specific advice you will have to post your troop stats.

    I used a duo, so I'm not sure how exactly it works with four as you need more mana in order to maintain the haste condition.

    Proofs, lots and lots of proofs.

    You haven't done real calculus (and suffered accordingly) until you proved something like Cantor's lema (which is one of the easier proofs once you understand the gist of it)

    or the midpoint( or midvalue, I'm not sure how you call it in English) theorem

    or the Weierstrass extreme value theorem.

    So when you say calculus you don't mean infitesimal calculus I gather (or is it gander, but gander is a male goose)?

    1. But the Anti particles do appear naturally, even if for split seconds and in trace amounts (1 every Avogadro number for example), true?

    2. you don't need elements to cause annihilation, you can use positrons and con-tons (a word play on pro and con, prbly never got in to use because it sounds too much like quantum) for annihilation?

    3. if so wouldn't it be possible to place a satellite close to the sun with a net, like a Busard scoop (if the scoop actually scoops them into a chamber, (different subject) which it has to if you want to use the CNO reaction for propulsion without wasting fuel), and trap (according to mass and charge) positrons in one containment field and con-tons in another and then use them to bombard simple matter (hydrogen1) in order to receive the resulting energy?

    AM

    I read in a popular science bbok (it was published way before the movie) that scientists today can store AM in small vials which seemed odd, so I decided to check it with you guys.

    The problem with holding AM is that you need to either contain it without letting it touch anything or contain it inside of a container made of AM which then needs to be prevented from touching anything. And, to the best of my knowledge, any system capable of containing AM is extremely large.

    @goldenking: you need to talk to Dilbert's garbage man, I'm sure he would be willing to take it off your hands. smile

  5. If you want a real challenge try playing a paladin with a vow of peace.

    "hi I'm a big cluncking paladin sworn to protect the virtues of goodness wherever I roam but I'm not allowed to hit anyone unless they are undead or from another plane"

  6. In order to delay derailment,

    What expansion books do you use/have (such as unearthed arcana, any of the completes (complete ...), any of the races (races of ...), Players handbook 2 etc...)?

    P.S.

    I don't know why they removed the base classes index from the keep, but if you want I can send you a copy I saved while it was still up (There are a lot more base classes than are described in the handbook such as the archives which allows you to learn and cast priest spells like a wizard or the favored soul which casts priest spells like a sorcerer).

  7. A very good site with easily maneuverable charts and simpler to understand definitions for game terms (it has complete lists of feats, prestige, items etc... ready for download with shorthand for stats and effects) is crystal keep : http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/index.php.

    P.S.

    you should generally stick to either 3ed. or 3.5ed, not both, as they have contradictions due to the system overhauls from the movement from one to the other.

    If you really like a rule or a class in the one you are not using you should confer with the DM on how to translate it to the other.

    About the time issue, some people choose to completely ignore this and magically receive all tricks, spells and feats at the end of the adventure without all the silly hassle of finding a trainer (especially useful if you are in the middle of nowhere)

    I asked the same question in the A5 forum, run a search for heartstriker and you should find it among the first posts.

    I don't know if the programmer changed it or left it the same, but I'm tending to believe the latter.
  9. here are the two weapon stats (from the game file):

    begindefineitem 77;

    it_name = "Oozing Sword";

    it_level = 11;(inherited from previously listed weapon)

    it_ability = 34; (oozing blade)

    it_stats_to_affect 0 = 208; (acid resistance)

    it_stats_addition 0 = 10;

    it_stats_to_affect 1 = 202; (don't know, if you do, tell Sahdrani so he can update his list)

    it_stats_addition 1 = 1;

    it_graphic_coloradj = 4;

    begindefineitem 88;

    it_name = "Venomous Blade";

    it_ability = 34; (oozing blade)

    it_level = 12;

    it_value = 4000;

    it_stats_to_affect 0 = 207; (poison resistance)

    it_stats_addition 0 = 12;

    it_stats_to_affect 1 = 208; (acid resistance)

    it_stats_addition 1 = 12;

    it_graphic_coloradj = 0;

    so from these stats it seems the v. blade has the higher dmg level (more dice), and yes they both use the same acid attack.

  10. And then there's it's counterpart full with fallacies and conspiracy theories:

    The UNCyclopedia

    with ideas such as the "cat with buttered toast engine"

    and the "Stormtroopers vs. Red Shirts" engine
