  1. Not even needed. You can get the skill trained up for money later in the game.
  2. I would have gone with nimble-fingers. On my first playthrough all those points wasted on open locks made my front warrior weaker (I think). He was a Neph elite warrior, divinely touched. Points were slow to come by already. It wasn't until near the end of the game after buying tons of points in skills from trainers was he really effective, more than a meat shield. Sadly there is no trainer for open locks. There should be!!! It all eventually worked out ok in the end, though.
  3. If you lost them on the ground, they are still there. Just pick up other stuff and redistribute it some where else, and the missing items can reappear. You may have to do this a few times to remove enough junk. Pain in the ass. There should be infinite containers to avoid this kind of thing.
  4. You can get it from Gladwell (2nd reward or later). Also, after a Tiacoura quest in Tranquility.
  5. There is a switch a little further along the road towards the fortress, next to a camp. I believe that if you backtrack, a path is opened up to you!
  6. Exactly - "unreachable" = hard to find access to
  7. Try the other tunnels again. One of them definitely lets you in. Finding that mindwarp Chitrach after that was a PITA.
  8. Yuck, I hate looking for hidden loot by pixel hunting (ala the Fallouts).
  9. All the "unreachable" light switches I eventually found a way to trip (I believe).
  10. The 'u' command makes them easy to find, especially those hidden ones. Almost feels like cheating...
  11. You get a bracelet for passage into Tranquility from the mayor when you remove the bandit leader.
  12. I thought all it would take would be getting the bracelet, which you can get without killing the drake. But that would be too consistent....

  14. Ha. Well it's a LOOONG way from the drake. If you don't want to kill the drake you'll have to suffer the curse from the Geas through a couple major areas ... You could consider it penance for not listening to your conscience when taking the Geas... Or you could kill the drake and generate more hatred for Gladwell for when you finally confront him. Although the next item is also bad.
  15. Yes food hoarding was my beginners mistake as well. One I continued to make. You should be able to sell it!
  16. Well if you were trying to play a pacifist (as much as possible in this combat heavy game), then you would not have killed her.
  17. Yes, but she has the best priest cloak in the game. So in this case powergaming overruled roleplaying...
  18. Yes, I figured it out using summons and pinning him with my meat shield slith, while my spell casters pounded him from a distance, and healing the meatshield. Used arcane shield and steel skin to protect the slith. Amazingly I have'nt had to switch out any protective equipment yet for special battles. O focurse, I tend to build my charcters to be very defensive (good endurance, and protective skills). First time though, it was quite shocking how quickly everyone died! The Bonemaster was pretty tough too. It would take out one character in one shot!
  19. Oh, that's shame Randomizer. All the fun wiping them out and no reward. Oh well. I was actually surprised that Gladwell wasn't too hard. The boss hraithe, well that was quite another matter!
  20. Glad it worked out! Another way which is more risky at the start is to buff everyone with haste, shield, bless, etc. Get 2 summons. and group everyone in the middle. Make sure you have mass heal! Also the smite spell does wonders. Use combat skills and lots of ranged / spell attacks once the first wave is cleared. That way they're kept at a distance and your party is relatively safe. Only at the beginning is it dicey. EDIT: also, I think I used slow spells at the beginning to reduce the rate of explosive outbursts!
  21. I had to keep the rest of my party up away from the fray, while my Slith fighter played the part of an attractor. Spells did most of the work on that one. It was defintely one of the tougher ones!
  22. Well I decided to kill him and de-geas my party. It seemed right. His spellbooks made it worthwhile. It was too bad that releasing the woman from her geas (I presume), left her still blank, though...
  23. FWIW, I haven't obsessed over an RP choice like this since I can remember. Hats off to Jeff for making an RPG with choices that have truly significant consequences!
  24. But from a powergaming point of view, would it be better to keep the geas for the boni? Decisions, decisions.....
