  1. I also decided that I would create a pack of ornks which Albert would have to raise and protect for no real reason.
  2. If I could shape I would shape the mind of Albert Einstein into a servile.
  3. The areas were I'm cut off from the shapers, Western Rise I'm assuming is hostile that's why I mentioned it, is their a way where I can just kill most everyone in them except people like the refugees and rebel spy in Aziraph Camp Gamma.
  4. Right now I have an Infiltrator who just got to Derenton Freehold, and is somewhere around level 35ish. I have this very large To Do List of things I haven't already done in previous areas and I don't know when I'll be strong enough to do them. I'm a Pure-Rebel so some of these areas most people can clear really easy, but I have to take the alternate route of mass murder. Here is my list: Chest in Alwan's Room in Rivergate Keep that dishes about 560 damage unbuffed. Thornton Ruins Turabi Gate's guards need to be killed in one hit each. The Western bit of Sandros Mine, I might be able to do this bit the second group (the two ghost who you have to deal equal damage to) annoy me too much. Shaper Camp in the Forsaken Lands. Western Barrier Zone Western Rise Aziraph Camp Gamma The Black Door in Monarch's Realm Two Chests in the canister makers house that deal 500+ damage in Derenton Freehold My main desire here is to make every area green on the map, and fully explore every corner, some things like a room in Shaftoe's Bunker I don't plan on getting to ever so I'll be slightly lenient in my goals sometimes. If anyone can tell me what of these I can already do, or roughly when I can do them, that would be good. Also, is it possible to ever make some of these areas friendly, while remaining Pure-Rebel?
  5. I don't think Geneforge is supposed to be about winning. I think the point is to watch the factions see how they grow and change, how they adapt when a new element is introduced into the problem. None of the sides have a strict "win" they all have certain goals that will help them one way or another. But not a single sect has a plan for what happens after all their goals are achieved. Some sects aren't planning for the massive economical and geographical upheavals they will experience if they succeed. While other sects don't plan how they plan to keep human, servile, and drakons alive past their goals. None of the factions are very consistent in what they want either, making it even harder to say who would "win". Also, what is it they are trying to win?
  6. I never really finshed G3, but I had a strong desire to get it over as fast as possible. Whilst when playing G2 I took my time, and savored the juicy steak of a game. So I assume if I did finish G3 it would take me a shorter amount of time, then G2 took me.
  7. I hate creations and all combat styles envolving them, I always play as an Agent and the only chance to get good creations is at the end of the game. And for some absurd reason if I decide to make say an Ur_drakon, and hop it's stats up to a huge degree. It can never do any useful damage.
  8. I vaguely remember by crazy-ass play-through of G2 and here is how it roughly went. I killed all of the sects leaders, and just about anyone in the game who could actually fight back. Random people and livestock that had no use I left alone. I mostly avoided killing town guards too. I had no interaction with the Geneforge, and minimal with the Drakons. I just wanted to finish the game fast and the ending was annoying me. After I finished I got and ending that paraphrased seemed like I more ore less joined the shaper-council. I was insanely powerful and had used tons of canisters, but the council though I was loyal to them, and was a powerful ally.
  9. I didn't mean to connect the two things, I phrased that last sentence badly. I failed to get into the Inner Crypt to my dismay, considering how nice Danette's Belt is, and after using the Geneforge I failed to find anything that I would classify "hard" to kill. Plus I was a wondering Hot do I go about being completely loyal to the Takers, and use the Geneforge without blowing Trajkov to hell?
  10. Man, at a certain point in Geneforge I just ran every merchant dry and had a huge pile of loot that I like in the Undergorund River. My rough estimation of total worth of everything was around 500K gp, but this was before the last five areas or so. I think I remember the Tribal Merchant being loaded with a chunk of money, and i know I most definately did not take advantage of that. Just another chance to push my Luck and Mechanics even higher if I went to that merchant. Oh well, doesn't matter now.
  11. I went and finished the game ignoring a few things because I couldn't wait. But I also noticed that the crescant shade and thahd were nowhere to be found. Hence i could not get into the Inner Crypt, and I got the SHaper Monarch Ending, woohoo!
  12. Why in God's name does it keep logging me out, is there some new function that I have to activate so that I can stay logged in?
  13. I don't know if this is apporopraite to say this, but that was me five seconds ago forgetting to log in. If a mod could combine these two posts and maybe delete this bit, that would be useful.
  14. So, on my current play through in Geneforge I decided to try the Takers instead of the Awakened for once. I'm near the end of the game and am having some problems with the sholai attacking me, or not attacking me apparently. In the Area West Gate I have explored fully and unlocked the gate and gone into the area beyond (Vats?). But no matter what I do the area refuses to turn green, while this has no real negative affects I won't be able to sleep at night until it does turn green. Also in Diarazard for some reason all the Stealth Sholai have a strong desire to become blood smears on my sword, even though I'm playing as a Taker and do in fact have the amulet. They won't talk to me so it's impossible to tell if they are simply rebel sholai. After clearing that area I went back to West Gate and tried killing all the sholai there, it definitely turned the area Green but made Kazg very pissed off. It's also possible they became pissed if when I cleared Diarazard, I didn't think to check. I reloaded my file after all this and am now wondering what to do, This save file is after getting my amulet back form the Sholai rebels in the Crossroads area, if that has any effect. The Save is actually immediately after doing this. If anyone is curious off what i have done in the game, you can look at Matt P's walkthrough; I'm immediately after finishing Crossroads and have been following the guide very thoroughly. So I think I've said any possible factors, and now I shall give a final statement. HELP ME SO I CAN FINNALY GO TO SLEEP!!!
  15. Diablo 2 was insane like that, I actually though the final playthrough was insanely easy, I was already around Level 95 and breezed through the thing in a couple days. But anywho, they also did this in Bladur's Gate Dark Alliance. You have to beat the game and "Guantlent Mode" on hardest difficult to unlock Drizzt Do 'Urden, or some name like that. Then once you did unlock him, while it was fun in the first act or so to kill everything yuo meet in one hit, it got boring.
  16. I don't really know how to save your characters, I think it would be hard-pressed for anyone else to. So my suggestion is for you to restart, and have ONE guy with tool use, along with bow skill for your second fighter. Then you first character, the melee slith shouldn't have so much dex, not that useful for melee. And as a general rule all your characters should focus more on skills other then General skills. Your Mage and preist should especially focus on learning new spells, just about all of you money should go here, plus getting up the preist and mage spell stats. Everyone should also have decent Stregth, including spellcasters, so that you can carry decent Items. But remember that your mage can't carry too much bulky items, natural mage trait helps here. Edit: Even if you can beat Lysstak you are going to have a hell of a time trying to get through Tranquility.
  17. That was a relatively difficult area, so don't worry if you can't easily find here. Now, what you most definately want to avoid so as to not waste time, unless you are ready to hunt the mindwarp chittrach, is to avoid the southwest portion of the map. The actual queen is in the northeast, and I think is most easily gotten to from entering the easter tunnel. If you thouroughly explore, and be sure to press secret buttons quite often, you can probably find quite a few ways into her nest. The main thing you need to do is just go down one passage at a time systematically searching for secret buttons, and triggering ambushes.
