  1. I didn't play Geneforge 2 though, I probably should-
  2. Sounds a bit far fetched, I have no idea, all I know is that they shape themselves in new forms, but those forms are still all Drakon related, say, Drakon to Ur-Drakon.
  3. Their are creations that create, right? In Geneforge 4 you have the ability to play as a servile. And at least Drakons have shaping abilities. Don't know about Drayks for certain, but It'd be awesome to play one of those two. And they're part of the rebellion, well, in a way.
  4. Yeah, for some reason that machine doesn't work for longer than five seconds. And I can make up to two Drakons, but then I have 4 Essence left.
  5. I'm level 35 though, from what I've heard I can't gain more than 10 levels from here on, right? And is Turabi Gate actually a place you can pass? Everything there's dead, and the gates don't open.
  6. Start over or cheat if possible. Or simply not go there.
  7. [May contain a spoiler, I don't know] Okay, don't know if it's relevant to the storyline and you have to kill it, but I may have ran ahead a little bit. So... Before even reaching Northforge I already took a shortcut into that big machine room it has, and found this corrupted unbound in the basement. With just short of 4000 hit points and the ability to kill 4 Drayks with a little over 450 health in a single hit I have absolutely no idea if it's even possible to eradicate this mutated creep. Do I come back for it later, or stop pushing and wasting my time and instead leave it on the side? (I doubt this is a big secret, knowing everyone loves to explore, don't you? But still, this seems like a big thing to me. If I ruined a possible secret you should have read the spoiler warning. Don't sue me, I don't have any money to sue out of me anyhow right now)
  8. Thinking of it, I usually avoid creating battle creations at all. I usually go from Fyora, to Roamer, to Vlish. And even by the time you can make Roamers and Vlish, it's still hard to get beaten with seven Fyoras, even if they're untrained. You'll find killing Moseh with seven Fyoras with some extra endurance to be quite easy, if not time consuming.

Putting points in Shaping is almost completely unnecessary. You need, at the absolute most, 4 Fire Shaping and 6 Magic Shaping -- you can get bonuses from items to bring you up to 10 from there, and going above 10 is a waste. Better still, either forget about fire shaping and go magic shaping for the whole game, or vice versa. Ignore magic completely, except for maybe Healing Craft. Rely exclusively on pods and spores. I did a no-magic Shock Trooper once and it was easier than my first attempt at a Lifecrafter. Pump Intelligence a lot and Endurance a little. Ignore strength and melee weapons for the most part; you get enough points in those without investing skill points. Dexterity and missile weapons are a worthwhile investment, but you can ignore them if you need the skill points elsewhere. For the record, I heart Drayks- I pretty much skull all battle creations though. Oh man, if only you could play a Drayk and/or Drakon creator, that's all the game could use to make it more interesting for me.
  10. I constantly use Drayks, a group of five can easily soak up about 2000 damage. I love drawing long fights, as long as they end up in victory of course-
  11. May I just ask one question- will there be more Slithzerikai/Nephilim sprites available than in Avernum 4? It was kind of a letdown when creating a party of four Slithzerikai, and having only 2 sprites to choose from, or whatever they're called. More is better!
  12. I usually end the game with 2-4 in base, melee and magic skills, 8-10 in shaping skills and 6-10 in the leftover skills, somehow I cannot stray from this path, no idea why.
  13. I'd like nothing more than to play a hatchling creator Drayk or Drakon, or both, I'd give my left eye, arm, leg for that. Make your pick.
  14. I've found it a struggle to play a shock trooper, since you need to put most points in Shaping, the 'average' combat skills fall behind, and high cost on magic makes it even harder, it's not impossible, but I've had quite alot of problems with shock troopers.
  15. Perhaps I should get off my ass and make some sprites and avatars, but I'm lazy lately. Are they going to put in windowed play at one point?
  16. My solution is keeping a tank, and a semi-tank for backup use.
  17. I think he reads like a dying asthma patient speaks. This is joke nor insults, because I have breathing problems myself. To the point... Aside of the Simulacrum spell I never used any summoning spells, I always have a fighter, a fighter/archer, a priest and a priest/mage.
  18. Bring about 10 different Nephilim and Slithzerikai sprites, a story like we're used to, some extra content and a possibility for window play, and I'll be all happy.
  19. I play the demo, and it's a terrible shame it is the only Avernum I ever played not to have a windowed mode. I hope this comes in the future, along with more Slithzerikai and Nephilim skins, 4 or 5 were way too little in the previous three, but 2 is just a downright shame. I don't know whether this is lazyness on the developer's side, or has some purpose I cannot see (mainly because Slithzerikai kick ass, and a team where 2 look exactly alike eachother is simply dull...) I hope windowed mode and more Slithzerikai and Nephilim characters are added at one point.
